Gorgeous department store, a real maze to explore and full of beautiful showrooms. Really nice cafe that is welcoming for children as well as adults, with activities and kind staff. Very handy car parking as well.
When I win the euro millions this is where I'll buy all my furniture, carpets and home decor. Luxury furniture and homeware. Prices are well above the usual high street brands but the quality and craftsmanship is felt in every piece they sell. The shop itself is an old silk mill. A four storey building filled with sofas, dining tables, beds, carpets, rugs, home decor, candles, painting etc. You could definitely spend a couple of hours browsing. Cafe was great. Excellent service. Full cooked breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed by hubby. And my ploughman's sandwich was tasty and very filling. We also had large chunky chips that were fab. Breakfast until 11.30am. Brunch all day and mains from 11.30am. Free parking available. Staff were pleasant and polite. Great place to get some decor inspiration or to just pop in for something to eat.
I purchased a solid desk for almost £900 from this company during their sale, which I was excited about despite a one-week delay in delivery. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment upon receiving the product. As I opened the parcel, I noticed a significant defect: most parts of the drawer and back were made from broken reclaimed wood.nnI contacted the company to express my concerns, explaining that for a £900 product, one expects something of decent quality. Shockingly, their response was dismissive, stating that since the broken wood was underneath, it didn’t matter. This comment is incredibly unprofessional and unethical. How can a company justify sending a product with such defects simply because they are not immediately visible?nnTheir lack of concern and unwillingness to provide a solution disappointed me. They told me the product is “as is” and there’s no room for improvement. This experience has left me with a very poor impression of this company, and I will never shop here again. I strongly advise others to steer clear as well.nnFor a company that charges premium prices, their quality control and customer service are severely lacking. Do not waste your money here.
Excellent service - we recently purchased a good quality stair carpet. In the department Sarah was extremely helpful, advising us with the technical queries we had. Also she sent an another member of the fitting team to further assist with our queries in the best way to lay a striped carpet. . And on the day Mark and Chris were very efficient and did an amazing job on a tricky hall & stairs. Also came not just with technical knowledge but both had a good sense of humour. All in all very pleased
I am not sure who served me today, but i have never been treated as lovely as i have today. I was clearly upset and the lady was genuinely very caring it meant a lot to me.nShe is a credit to you. XnAlso very clean and lively food.
