PLEASE SAVE BOTH YOUR TIME AND ADDITIONAL HIDDEN COSTS BY NOT BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS Store! IF YOU DO BE AWARE PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK WHAT YOU ARE BEING CHARGE FOR. Sarah the Manager refused to cancel my order despite being informed within 24hrs, that I given all the hassle, nonger wanted the chair, I was told that I had no reason to cancel would be charged 2% of the total order.= 50.00. I had also been missold a product care package. 50.00 had been added to my card for a package that I had believed came free with the chair I was informed by Sara the manager that if I wanted to cancel I could only cancel if I wrote in, which would exceed Harveys 24hrs policy and I would be charged 50.00 On top of which I'd already been told that the delivery would take 2+ more weeks. The Harvey Guarantee given is for Sofas only it doesn't cover chairs or tables nor anything else so apart from sofas nothing is valid. So only buy if you want a load of hassle
TERRIBLE!!! Pre-ordered furniture & paid a 'holding' deposit apparently they only had 1 unit left in stock! Found much cheaper elsewhere, in fact over £1,000 cheaper, still not had my deposit back after calling them numerous times...I would avoid at all costs, this isn't the first review I've seen where customer's have really struggled to get their deposit back...SHOCKING SERVICE. HAD to give 1 start to leave this review otherwise it would be 0!
Will never buy from this store again. Purchased two sofas in january 2016 on 0 per cent deal putting down large deposit. They tried to hide insurance in finance figures. Initially told delivery of sofa would be 17 weeks so we said to manager this was too long and we would look elsewhere. Manager said he could get it delivered 12 to 14 weeks so we agree to buy. Had loads of problems sofa delivered 17th June well over 17 weeks delayed. Manager called Steve is very arrogant and unhelpful. Passed from piller to post between the store and customer service department. Customer service dept not very helpful. I wanted to speak with manager and operator would not give me his name quoting he was not allowed because of the data protection act. Sofas eventually arrived and are very nice. pity the purchasing experience from the Macclesfield store is terrible.
Very poor service. Would NOT recommend I purchased a sofa which had been reduced to a clearance price. The sales team then mis-sold me a 5 year cover package by specifically telling me it would cover the product to the ORIGINAL value of the sofa. After spend a long time chasing up the insurance certificate this was not the case. I was lied to repeatedly in order to make a sale. Upon complaint I received a effortless apology and told the case was closed. If they can lie about this I would not trust them with anything else Hugely dis-satisfied
Quite positively the worst customer service i have ever dealt with. Furniture was so bad when the inspector came out to look at it he couldn’t believe that it had even been left with us. The branch manager was so abrupt when we returned for our refund an insisted that there was nothing wrong with The furniture on its return. Disgraceful.
Brilliant customer service from the store manager Adam! Answered every question we had and then helped to find the best deal to match our needs! Would definitely recommend and would return here again! Fingers crossed sofas will arrive on time. 5***
The attitude of the staff is really poor towards customers. Two staff were attending one customer and there was no one to help me. When one of them attended finally.. the man in beard was really really rude with I dont care attitude.. If you are not bothered selling sofas.. you should find better job mate.. I wouldn't recommend visiting them..
DO NOT GO THERE - I purchased 2 x recliners in this store on 11 Sept 2016. The male store man was very sleazy and made me feel uncomfortable as a woman on my own His name was Steve. I paid in full and was told my sofas would arrive 10th Oct. 10th Oct - Wrong colour Sofas. Called cust servs who seemed uninterested - Called the store who LIED to me saying I had ordered Brown I had ordered white On the invoice it said white or the fancy version of white. Was promised callbacks by 'Steve' - He never called back. When I called them they said the server was down ??? I am now sitting on a deckchair as I donated my old sofas to charity. Steve refuses to refund my £1500 and put the phone down on me. I am now seeking legal advice. They also added £235 of insurance I did not ask for !! I will be contacting Trading Standards.
Wish i had never been involved with harveys.the attitude of the staff is poor polite. The service is out to take your money and treat customers as if they are doing them a favour.would definitely advise not to buy from them and they have lost my custom.
Would never buy from Harvey's again the quality is so poor, and the after sales is even worse we bought 2 reclining leather sofas that have failed on 3 occasions, they send some muppet who is not interested and then put it down to wear and tear!! really in the first 4 months of purchasing. Be ashamed Harvey's
