Just changed to tapas bar/ restaurant. Menu very limited but change was explained as being because they want to book everything from scratch. Not very good experience because there wasn't the option to buy a standard meal. Even the paella was a small portion . No sweet selection , not even x bowl of ice cream or coffee as the machine was broken. What we did have tasted good though
We have visited early evenings during the week and not yet been disappointed by the overall standard of food and service. Yes, it might cost a bit more and the food is a bit 'pretentious' and slow to arrive for some, but it's freshly prepared and cooked to order. With a gluten intolerant member of the party this time around, we booked in advance and warned them of the special dietary requirement. On this basis alone the service was excellent - helpful and clued-in.
Matt and his staff are amazing. We held our wedding reception there yesterday and were so delighted with everything. Flowers, decoration, the food and the service was second to none. So very friendly, evening D.J was excellent, buffet was awesome. And the wedding cake with cup cakes were a massive hit. Can't thank everyone so much, Matt u made our wedding day stress free and so easy following, THANK YOU ALL SO much for your hard work. Would recommend you for any occasion. Seriously 5 plus xx.
I had my baby shower here on the 15th December and it was fabulous! Even during this very busy Christmas period the staff were really accommodating to everyone's needs. The staff were lovely and so helpful and really created my vision of of what I wanted for the baby shower even better than I imagined, they decorated the place beautifully. I really recommend the Arbor Lights to everyone for any occasion as the atmosphere is great, laid back and fun, I will be 100% using their services again. Thank you to all involved on Saturday!
Arbor Lights is recently under new management. Matt, the manager used to work there in the early days. Having been a few months ago when the experience was not very good, it was a pleasure to go there and find that things had gone back to the way they were a few years ago. It has been re-decorated and the ambience was excellent. The service was superb and the food was sublime.
Lovely little restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. The staff know how to serve and prepare food - even the trainee waiter knew the key element to successful customer service, and that is to SMILE. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family for good quality food, served in a fantastic manner, and in feel-good, cosy surroundings. Oh and by the way, the 16oz T-bone is TO DIE FOR! :
Wow ! what a little gem of a place.. we had our Christmas party here last week it was a great vibe with other guest and staff. Matt and his team were amazing" they went above and beyond to make our night special... if u havent visited this place yet then I would highly recommend" u wont be disappointed great service and excellent food xxx
We went along for our one year wedding anniversary at about half seven. We had a couple of drinks No real ale on tap and went to get a table at about eight thirty. We were told that the kitchen had closed early because there was not enough trade that night, and the chef had gone. Evening ruined. Never going back
Had a 60th party here but disappointed in the meals. Several were sent back as not cooked correctly and staff had to pop out to Morris ons to collect food as they had not pre ordered enough. Disappointing evening.
Arbor lights used to be a couple of years ago and more an ok place to eat. After our visit last night it rates as the worst dining experience we've had for years. Dirty glasses, a dirty table which had obviously been wiped earlier with a dirty cloth - food was awful and some was undercooked pork and some arrived cold. Altogether an amateurish outfit! Never again.
