Best carvery I've had in a while! Great selection of veg and other sides such as Mac and Cheese and potato gratin. The meat was cooked lovely and plenty of it! Yorkshire puddings were straight out of the oven and sooo good! As a table of 5, we all had the carvery and were all impressed. Also had desserts and they were really good. We had caramel apple Betty, chocolate brownie and kids sundae. Couple of things for improvement. There was a big queue at the bar to order food and drinks. The furniture could do with a refresh. Will definitely be returning for our next carvery.
A few years ago I thought Brewers Fayre wasn't up to much but now I think they are very good. The value is brilliant, especially for kids meals and the staff are friendly at this branch. The good is straight forward but cooked well, with a decent carvery, especially for the price. I hope they don't shift from this balance in terms of value. As with all hospitality staffing levels are tight but the people who work here are always friendly and constantly busy serving, tidying, replenishing. I don't know staff names but the manager/assistant manager with the dark hair, and the man with the dark hair and the red uniform shirt on, always seem to be on when we come and they are always smiling, talkative and nice to my daughter. We will keep coming back. Kid-friendliness: They have crayons and sheets to colour in. The staff always engage with children and the atmosphere is not too loud but not silent. The tables are spaced well so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of each other. The kids menu is good.
Absolutely amazing place for breakfast. Always friendly and polite as well as keeping our regular table that can comfortably seat members of our party in wheelchairs and accommodate our various needs. It's our regular for an extremely good reason. Cheers Mike, Laura, Sarah, ash and all the staff for making it an enjoyable experienceFood: 5/5
Perfect place for a reasonably priced date night. My partner had the smothered platter, all cooked to perfection. I had the house salad with chicken, the salad was so fresh and honestly the best salad I've had out! Service was a little slow but we did hear they were understaffed, with that in mind the service was bang on.Food: 5/5
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good range of options on the unlimited cooked breakfast. You get unlimited juice and Costa coffee as well as anything from the continental breakfast buffet. I was very happy with everything on the cooked breakfast other than the black pudding. It could have done with being cooked for longer. Overall, it was a good breakfast and I will happily eat there again.
Just went for a drink Very good cocktails. The barman was very nice and polite. It was his first time making cocktails and he surely did a great job. Food: 5/5
Ok, this started off really badly. Arrived on a Sunday to find the restaurant closed at 830. Went down for dinner about 8. Ordered a black and blue burger, they brought a burrito. Had an argument about it then maybe about 20 minutes later at about quarter to nine I got my meal ....worst meal I have ever had in a hotel, a lump of the sole of a trainer between some dry bread and cold chips... No one around to complain to, kitchen closed. The rest of the week the food was good to very good, nothing was excellent, but nothing average, the bar staff excellent, rooms comfortable. Staff on reception were excellent. But Walsall is awful, but that, in and of itself is not, alone, a criticism of the Premier Inn. I will stay again. Probably not on a Sunday night.
Soon as we arrived, we were greeted By Cal who showed us to our table and welcomed us. I want to praise Brad at the Bar for delivering amazing drinks, Nice clean Glasses, Wonderful cheery service and pulled a great couple of pints. Liam the chef was amazing with the food. The mixed grills we ordered could not have been better. For the price, you get an amazing plate of food and it's no small one either. Beautiful Steak, gammon, chicken breast, 2 proper sausages, 2 eggs, onion rings skin in fries, perfect portion of peas. Everything was spot on and you definitely get your money's worth. He's done a fabulous job and has exceeded expectations. And a Huge thank you to Belle for looking after us and coming over to check if everything was ok with our food. Absolutely zero faults in the service, nice atmosphere, everything is lovely and clean, great setting next to the canal side and awesome food that hits the spot. Will definitely be coming again, might have found a new favourite restaurant to go to Great job to all the team Keep up the fantastic service
The place is okay Food is standard Prices are a little high Atmosphere is not for me. Would prefer a hungry horse pub. 6/10 overall.
On entering we were shown to a table which needed cleaning, a young girl wiped it over and left the table wet so we cleaned it with the paper towel given to us. We cleaned the remaining dirt up picture shown chairs were dirty and need a recover. My son went to the bar to order a cocktail and he overheard that they were no longer going to be serving cocktails which we found disappointing. The food was good quality, we couldn’t fault the meals although they brought out the sauce when we had nearly finished our meal. We then ordered puddings but we were told that it was too late to order them. Once we had spoken to the manager who was very friendly, the issue was soon resolved so that’s the justification for the 3 star review, it’s certainly not the ritz but could be better.
