Aqua Mediterranean Bar and Grill

Attractive space with a very nice set menu that was cooked well. Service was efficient and professional when we were served but seemed to suffer ever so slightly for others when the restaurant got busy.

We went here before a show in Blackheath halls. Not booked but was given a table right away. Waiter asked if we would like a drink so I said give me two minutes to look at wine menu. 15 minutes later he came over. I said can we order our dinner too. He said well yes if you are ready we had waited 15 mins my partner asked if the duck could be cooked rare, he said “well yes it’s your dinner. You choose He was arrogant and not welcoming. The food arrived. The duck was shocking. Well well done is how it looked. No pink at all. I went over to find a waiter/waitress who came over and said sorry. But then looked at me and said “oh well sir. Your have to eat alone on this occasion” WOW. The owner came over and said sorry and that a new duck would arrive in 2 mins. I ate as slow as I could to wait for my partners dinners but again. 15 mins later her duck arrived and I had finished. My steak was lovely I must say. And my partners duck was lovely eventually. But to pay £100 for 2 of us and eat separately is just totally shocking. The restaurant was empty so no excuses really. Nice food eventually but the experience could definitely be better.

Visited on a busy Saturday night on Blackheath fireworks. We were extremely disappointed because it’s highly rated and did not meet the expectations. The service was poor and portion size was small. The waiters that served us were rude, simple things like offering water or ketchups and didn’t swap steak knives until our food came. They did not even acknowledge, make eye contact or say a simple thank you when we paid the bill. I understand it’s a busy night but no customer should be treated the way we were with the service charge that’s already included. I ordered a mixed grill and the portion size is extremely small for the price. I do not recommend and will not be coming back. Just because it’s a busy night doesn’t mean the staff should be rude.

Omg. The steak is so good! Easy to book a table, the set menu has great options, the steak was done perfectly. If you like tiramisu order it, you won't regret it. The service is excellent also. The only thing I didn't enjoy were the fries which were underdone but the rest of my meal more than made up for it. Great local restaurant!

Staff were welcoming and very friendly & professional, drinks and food menu is lovely , the ribeye steak and Beef ladder is divine , French Martini is a must

Seeing atmosphere and customer service was superb

Excellent value for money especially on their 2 or 3 course meal menu. Staff were attentive and friendly. Sit in the 'front' bit of the restaurant as under the atrium can be cold. Recommend a visit to this restaurant for the atmosphere and hospitality.

Always have a brilliant time at Aqua, the food and fun from the owners and manager never disappoints.

Btluant restaurant find, excellent food, my steak was asked for rare and it was cooked to perfection. Good deal on Monday night with half price steak, good portions , lovely pudding, staff very good, friendly and helpful, restaurant was clean and well laid out, lively atmosphere, well recommended
