Toni & Sally are wonderful hosts and really made us welcome. Our room was a bit of a squeeze but warm and super comfortable. Certainly slept very well. Great location immediately on the sea front, yet a few minutes walk from pubs, restaurants and shops. I'm coming back to Herne Bay on my own in May and hope Toni can find room for me here. Rooms: Very clean and well furnished and decorated. Bed was very comfortable Walkability: Huge choice of cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops in easy walking distance Food & drinks: Breakfasts were perfect. Lots of great eateries nearby
Stayed for one night but had a very good experience. The room was small but perfectly formed, cozy and comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely too. Would definitely recommendRooms: 5/5

We arrived quite early, around 1:30pm and were greeted with a big smile. Keep in mind most places won't allow you in until 3pm. You are able to check in at 12pm here. We were shown into the living room where we sat and were asked what we wanted for breakfast. There was a wide range of choices all with toast. We were told about how everything is sanitised, clean and safe. When we got to our room, it did look very clean. There was a fridge and also tea and coffee facilities, with a kettle and a water jug. The bathroom had a toilet and shower with plenty of towels. There were three canisters in the shower wall with shampoo and conditioner in. The shower gel was empty but we just used the shampoo. There were some small opened bottles of shampoo on the top of the shower unit. The bed was two small singles pushed together. There was a bump going down the complete middle of the bed but other than that, very comfortable. We were situated at the back of the guest house so our view was of the back. Not a problem as no road noise. The room was warm. I opened the draw of my bedside cabinet and there was a very old roll up and tobacco in there, so I closed it up. There were other guests staying but you would not of known it. It was very quiet on both nights of our stay. Breakfast is staggered, so not everyone is in the dining room together at once. I had asked for a Full English unfortunately for me, it was all fried and I prefer my breakfast grilled. There was too much oil on the plate for me. The toast was also buttered too much for me. I apologised as I couldn't eat it. So when it came to choosing my breakfast for the next day I was offered scrambled egg which I agreed too. Unfortunately again it wasn't for me and is not a reflection on the owners. I did notice that they try to do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. Very welcoming and accommodating.
Stayed here in August with my husband and our child. This is the cleanest place I've ever stayed in . It was spotless. The breakfast was really good and well organised. The bed was comfy . Right on the seafront, what more could you want! And the hosts are lovely people too. Will definitely be visiting again .
Bed so large there's no room to move around. Nice walk-in shower. Great location if you don't mind a bit of noise in evening. Sally, proprietor is very friendly and helpful.Rooms: 4/5
Had an amazing stay at Aqua Bay. Tony and Sally were perfect hosts. Sea view Room was absolutely perfect. Tony cooked amazing breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for them both. We left feeling like they were our friends would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.Rooms: 5/5
Our 3rd stay at Aqua bay and love it here. The family room is beautifully decorated with a high standard of cleanliness. A perfect view of the sea front. The hosts are so warm and accommodating, really friendly and will cater to all your needs even helped us when our car broke down. The breakfast was delicious too. We only come to Herne bay on the basis of being able to stay at Aqua bay.

My sisters and I come to Aqua Bay every year in May. This is simply the best B & B ever. We will continue to come here for as long as Toni and Sally are running it! We have made the bestest friends for life with these two amazing people! Fabulous facilities, excellent location, superb breakfast and very stylish bedrooms. Can’t wait till next May!
