We really enjoyed our break at the Marine even though the weather was terrible. The staff without exception are all extremely helpful and go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. It was also serviced very well each day. We ate twice in the hotel restaurant and once in the bar and found the food and service to be very good. To conclude this was our second visit to the hotel and certainly intend to visit again. Dennis and Maureen Law

Nice location on the front. Provided welcome shade in the front garden on a blazing hot day. Dog was welcomed. Beer was fine. Gin in a great big goblet. No cocktails seved

A beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea, the Marine Hotel has three distinct areas with their own feel to fit your occasion. There's the homely room, with large comfortable chairs and a warm atmosphere; the open area with large windows overlooking the garden, perfect for lunch on a summer's day; and finally, the formal restaurant, should you wish to dine in style. All of this provides the perfect setting for you to enjoy a delicious meal, or even a few drinks (of which there is a good selection). The experience is rounded off nicely by the friendly and helpful staff. I live too close by for it to be worth me staying the night, but I can definitely recommend that you give the bar and restaurant a try.

Beautiful location overlooking the sea this is a great little spot to stop for lunch and enjoy the sunshine. The food is good with a traditional selection and reasonably priced, all done with quick and polite service.

Really lovely hotel, reception staff and Tanya who looked after us at dinner were fabulous. Tanya offered to move tables about so we could continue to sit at the bay window and have dinner. She is passionate about her job and it cearly shows. If you want really exceptional sea views or you struggle with stairs then opt for the first floor rooms. The food here is excellent both at breakfast and dinner. The main reason I only gave 4* is because the service at breakfast is incredibly slow, and the staff don't seem to be on the ball at all. You don't get seated so when you come down as a family of 4 there is nowhere to sit as couples have taken all the large tables. We sat one morning for 45mins waiting for our cooked breakfast, (which I have to say was excellent when it arrived) so allow yourselves plenty of time in the morning. All in all a good stay, the total only need to tighten up things at breakfast to make it an excellent experience.
