Staff were friendly, but their policies are absolute nonsense. 

I have an iPhone 6 which I have owned for about 3 years. My battery was consumed and I noticed that Apple currently have an offer for a battery replacement for £25. I took my phone to the Genius Bar where I was greeted with a friendly member of staff. He took some details from my phone and said that they could replace the battery, however because the chassis of my phone was a little bent it may fail the calibration in which case they will not return the phone to me. 

I completely accept my phone is not in mint condition, but the idea that I could take a phone to them for a repair and they will not return my property to me is ludicrous. In any other circumstance that would be called theft. I was "reassured" that a refurbished handset would *only* cost £299, or alternatively I could sign up to Apple's upgrade programme for a mere £37 a month!

Enough - I've had a 3rd party repair my phone, recovered my data, and am in the process of moving to another manufacturer. 

Sort it out Apple UK!

I’ve got a little water stains inside the Mac and wanted to have it repaired if it did cause any problems, but the staff charged me 1000 pounds and said the price can only go up. When they returned me the computer after checking out, I couldn’t turn it on while the staff told me that the battery is damaged. But after I charged the computer, it was turned on without any problems. The fact was that they might empty the battery and wanted to cheat me.

Admittedly, people have varied experiences at this store, as I have seen in various reviews. However I believe a lot of research is required before visiting this store to have a pleasant experiences as there are many policies and possible trip-ups. But as long as you come with good knowledge you can walk away with a bargain. I was looking to buy a new MacBook Pro and with Matt's help, along with his co-workers, I was able to walk away with a 15-inch MacBook Pro. Superb staff & service. Will be returning if I need any further help!

Purchased a new I Phone X at Christmas for my wife and the problems started.....It instantly developed an issue with flashing on the screen - We took the phone back and was told it was fixed. It then started to overheat and turn itself off then the flashing started again... We went back to Apple in Leeds and asked for a replacement - They were unwilling because the phone was over 14 days old!!! They replaced the screen and told us that that would rectify the issues. After two days its all started again... After spending over £1,000 on the new phone Apple will not help.. Come on Apple play fair.

Went in to replace my iPhone battery, spoke to genius, granted, due to the publicity regarding the battery it was busy, but over 3hrs later, told run out of batteries, come back next week.... Spoke to manager, offered to pay for battery to reserve it as I do not live locally, said no, what if I didn’t come back.... so? You have already received payment for it. We will see when I go back, Ipatch, save a battery for me just in case....
