What a find. We stopped to see the church, but our tour guide took us to meet Alan. Such wonderful craftsmanship. We bought several pieces despite having to carry them back to Canada.

Decided last minute to look for pottery places in the area and found this one. Warm welcome and really nice pottery. This isn't a 'standard' shop/gallery but more of a proper workshop, which add to the charm. While you are there, check out the church and the small telephone box converted in a library.
Over the moon with my new Anvil pottery lovely place to visit, I can highly recommend for a visit and unique pottery in a unique building, I will be back soon for my next order, biscuit barrel and bread bin to match :
Quite a remarkable place. It would be a shame not to arrange your trip to call in. It is an old working pottery, full of creativity, spirituality and charm. Also, the people who run it are lovely. It was a delight to find it.
We stopped to see the stained glass windows in the church and got a Potted History from this brilliant local potter. He and his partner have tended the holy spring next door for 40 years and is heartbroken to see the damage to its surrounds in the name of conservation. Brilliant shop with lots of interesting pots for sale but if you want something special he will make it for you. Well worth a detour to meet the potters here. We stocked up for unique gifts.
Would have bought something if we could have found someone to pay. Hung around for ages, asked the locals, knocked on the cottage door, called the phone number all without success. Please if you're not open kindly put a sign out, the doors of the pottery were wide open so we assumed you were.
Wonderful place, beautiful pottery
Enjoyed my visit and loved the workshop - no fuss. I bought a teapot and have used it ever since - would highly recommend a visit.
Fab pottery. Been using these guys for years, not many niche businesses like this left so its great to see them both still pottin!
