Food was so salty. Prices was too much. Put the bread first and it got cold. Plater size was good. In plater lamb bits was raw can’t bit. Not recommend this place.Food: 1/5
Food was really good here, starter was definitely my favorite, the platter was nice however felt as though it was lacking flavors. There was an issue with the table itself as the texture of it was very sticky, upon asking the waited to clean it he explained that the tables were a few years old and had become like this and offered to put tissues on the table, it was wobbling throughout the whole meal as well so annoying. Staff were very friendly, however the younger staff do need to improve their customer service, it’s not very appealing hearing “what do you want” when a customer wants to place their order. Came here after seeing that they were doing the eat out to help out, but they excluded all the mocktails and weren’t even serving any deserts although they were displaying these menus on the tables so felt as though my experience here wasn’t so good because I wanted to try more of the menu, as well as that total bill came up to £50 meaning the 50% off would decrease it to £25 but instead they charged £30, asked the waiter why they only took off £20 and his excuse was “it’s whichever works cheaper for the government it’s £10 off per person” which was a bag of lies as all the places I’ve been to have taken off 50% but I wasn’t going to argue over £5, it’s run by Asians so just be careful because a lot of them are doing this especially on ladypool road, always check the receipt. Experience would’ve been a lot better if it wasn’t for excluding half the menu and lying to the customer when it came to the bill
Food is highly priced and small portions. Starter mix hot food was sickly they need to add more variety. Main meal was nice but overpriced. Best item was the bread and there was no tap waterFood: 2/5
We went during the early afternoon on a weekday and there was only one other table of two seated when we arrived. Upon entering, we were seated and were only told ‘cash only’ upon ordering. Tap water wasn’t allowed to be served - when queried, we were advised “I don’t know, it’s just what management has told us”. So one of us went to the cash point which the waiter said was 4 shops away, whilst the other waited and then we found out the nearest cash point charges 99p. We also took this chance to get our drinks as we refused to pay £1.49 for a plastic bottle of water. 2 empty plates were brought over, one being slightly chipped. The place felt a bit tired - perhaps because it wasn’t the cleanest…I only noticed I was sat on some dirty seats at this point. The drinks menu was also worn and not the cleanest. Whilst my companion was still out, the waiter brought over some bread, a small serving of salad and some sauces. A nice touch, but what would have been nicer if they asked if they should wait until my companion came back. The bread was reheated bread - you could tell as it was cold and not as fresh tasting in the middle. I also found out later the party of three were being given the option of having their bread starter served with an alternative topping. We ordered the platter and were told it would be around half an hour, which we expected. It was served with rice and wheat but no salad - the salad to start with was a very small amount and so more salad wouldn’t have gone amiss. The rice and bulgar was luke warm and it’s a good job I wasn’t here for just this - I didn’t touch any of it but my partner ate it just so it wasn’t wasted. The meat was flavoured & cooked to a great standard ribs, wings, lamb Shish, chicken shish, 1 adana, and a bit of chicken & meat donner - my only complaint is that the serving of both meat & chicken donner was extremely miserly. Another thing to note - their website notes the cost of the platter at £24.95 for takeaway and £27.95 for eat in yet the menu charge is £29.95. The service was average. The couple who were there when we arrived had left whilst we were there and another party of 3 arrived before we left. I definitely wouldn’t say the experience was worth the almost £30, but at least the chef did a great job with the meat.
Came here for the first time the other day. First impressions weren't so great as the place did seems a little... unclean. Sticky floors and table. Not exactly pleasant. However, when the food arrive it was on point! The mix grill was a good portion with a variety of meats. We enjoyed every dish and it definately had that authentic Turkish taste. They gave bread and salad to moisten the palate and the homemade sauce was delicious. Not very clean inside but the food made up for it.
Went in as a family group of 16 people, adults and kids. Ordered several family platers, pizza and sides. The food was absolutely fantastic. The portion sizes are huge. The cuisine recommends 4 people for a family size platter, but it could honestly feed 6 and more some. Bulga rice was my favourite, so would highly recommend. Employees were professional and attentive. As the ground floor was packed, they had kindly arranged upstairs dinning area for a large family group and had our orders all ready within 30-40mins without any booking, on top of that, only two employees were working and they were understaffed. One employee had a broken arm, so you can see the commitment! You won't be disappointed.
We dined upstairs. It was quite, calm and clean. The humus and bread were excellent. We loved the ribs. There was complementary Turkish tea at the end. I am afraid the service was very poor. The staff appeared professional but the food took more than an hour to be served. This was when only less than half the tables were occupied. The rice and the wheat did not taste fresh. We went there on Friday night.
Excellent meeting at Anteps with colleagues Thank you for the service from attentive waiters Freshly cooked Anteps platter and complimentary salad, bread and Turkish Tea and thanks for letting us stay longer to discuss business will definitely recommend!
During my recent restaurant visit, I was disappointed by the slow service, delayed provision of cutlery and plates, and a platter that lacked most items. The food, when it finally arrived, was excessively oily, poorly prepared, and cold. Despite expressing our concerns, the staff appeared indifferent and had to be reminded twice to bring cutlery, only to provide plastic forks due to a claimed shortage. Instead of apologising, they were offering unwarranted discount. The worst thing is they had no regret at all. Overall, it was a frustrating experience that fell far short of expectations. one more important thing to mention They were serving worst grade think pizza in the name of lamachun!!!!
Great food and great service. The food had a good tender texture with a lot of flavoured juices. I had ordered the platter and shared between 3 people and it filled us all up and was very satisfactory. My only problem was, that the shop was a little warm but that may have been due to the humid summer weather. Overall a very tasteful and pleasant experience. Would definitely visit again.
