Great pub for a better quality meal than your average chain like Harvester or Beefeater. The Pies and Chicken went down really well. We had booked a lunch table for 4 and were really looked after by Sam really well right from arrival to departure. Nice bright and clean inside with plenty of seating outside as well.
We walked here from our lodging at the Old Store Guest House, just down the street. This pub was perfect after a long day of traveling. It was cozy, yet modern and clean. The food was fantastic, along with the ale and cider selections. We got the Fish n Chips, Trout, and the Toffee Pudding that was amazing!. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
What a lovely pub this is. Very comfortable and welcoming. Great choice of beers, spirits and wines. Tea and coffee if you prefer. Food was very good! Fish finger sandwich, well presented in a lovely tasty baguette. Staff are attentive and friendly. A lovely menu for dogs too! Never seen this before anywhere. Will be returning in the future.
The food was excellent. Staff friendly. 1st time. there but will be back. Newly refurbished.
Stopped here for something to eat and a drink. Nice large car park which was easy to get into, and a lovely large pub garden with numerous tables and seating. There was also a large seating area under a giant awning. Brilliant idea . They had a fantastic selection of drinks on offer and a really nice menu to choose from. We had different dishes and both were excellent. Very tasty. The staff were delightful and very helpful. Highly recommend this pub if you are in the area.
Lovely large old building, lots of seating, the staff are really friendly, helpful and obliging. The food is excellent, prices are fair considering the high quality. My group consisted of two meat eaters, two vegetarians one of whom also needed a gluten free menu. We were all very well catered for and satisfied with our meals. I thoroughly recommend eating here!
Lovely venue with lovely food. We visited on a complete whim with two young children and I'm glad we did. Brilliant service from the offset while the children ran in the garden. The locals were welcoming despite the noisy kids! I'd highly recommend paying a visit.
Really lovely country pub, we had the buttermilk chicken burgers with chimichurri mayonnaise and they really were delicious, best chicken burger I've had in a very long time. The pub is very dog friendly and has a lovely big garden area with covered seating and a boules pitch. There a gorgeous tree swing for the kids to play and very pretty festoon lighting for when the sun goes down. Really lovely chilled atmosphere, highly recommend it.
Such a lovely place! We sat outdoor under this huge tent surrounded by some apple trees. The food Sunday menu was absolutely amazing! It is probably one of if not the best lamb shanks i have ever had!
What a fantastic place this is on the outskirts of Chichester. I was staying in the guest house across the road and needed some food which turned out was a very good choice. The pub is cosy, the fire was lit so was warm with that fantastic wood fire smell. The service was fantastic and whilst I was there a bit early, the atmosphere got better as more regulars ventured in. The food I had was superb. The pork belly bites should be a must for anyone visiting! I also had the chicken pie off the specials menu and that was just as good! I highly recommend a stop here if you can. I will definitely be back when i'm in the area again.
