Lovely pub reopened a short while back and still recovering from all the Covid lockdowns. Bar nice and homely and prices good. We sat in the outside area. We ordered a Chicken Burger no bun with a big chunk of bacon and covered in lovely soft melty cheese and the Cowboy Burger 2 scrumptious home made beef patties cooked med rare also with bacon and cheese I had a tasty pepper sauce with mine. A Eton Mess dessert topped of the meal. Drinks 1 x Strongbow cider and I had an ale. Total about £55 and well worth it. Wee Ukrainian waitress gave us excellent service.
The Sunday lunch in this pub is superb and good portions in all courses. The Staff are very polite and accommodating. They treated us really well and also our Huskies too. I had a bad experience with the previous management, but these new people are superb in all departments. Thank you!! … you will go far with your excellent standards and customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PUB FOR DINING AND DOG FRIENDLY
Stayed here back in 2019 in the campsite attached to the pub. I have to say, the new owners have done a marvellous job of tidying the caravan and campsite. The site is not huge and sits alongside the train track. To be honest you do notice the trains but they are not too disruptive. The prices per night are reasonable and this site makes a good base for you to explore the surrounding area. We ate in the pub twice snd each time we visited we were always made to feel welcome and the food was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for the landlord and landlady. Would stay again.
Went to the prince of Wales for a sunday Roast with all the family thoroughly enjoyed the great home cooked food with super friendly helpful staff would recommend and will definitely be back
A lovely pub with delicious food. Dogs welcome which I love. They have a wonderful "beer" garden or if you prefer to sit inside their is plenty of seating there as well. Staff are friendly and atmosphere is relaxing.
I was playing darts in local league the beer although pricey was of good quality and the bar staff friendly and smart
Popped in here for a soft drink with family as it's summer hols. Sat in garden as weather was fine. Decent amount of picnic type benches in the garden. G'son & his friend played on trampoline, climbing frame & swing set with slide. The use of these items gave me time to catch up with the adults. Garden is secure with fencing & 2 gates to car park there is a road directly alongside the garden. If the weather is inclement there's a smoking shelter. Pretty quiet when we went 4.30pm-6pm on a Tuesday. Another couple arrived & sat in the garden with their well behaved dog. Have driven past here on a previous weekend & bank hol & the garden is packed. Have also eaten here of an evening some time ago, good food, bit pricey but unsure if this is still the case as it's been a while. Good pub garden to let kids run off steam. Reasonable size car park. When it's been super busy I have seen car park full & cars parked alongside garden fencing as really no where else to park. Will probably pop in again over hols with kids as it's a nice pub.
First time visit here. Four of us had an evening meal with drinks. Food was excellent and presented well. First time would definitely come again. Thank you for making our evening a good one
Was very nice food but took a long time for food to arrive even though ot was not busy.
Nice pub but unable to serve food in my visit. Maybe different in future
