Brilliant! Food was magnificent, service excellent. Highly recommended our top place for food and atmosphere
Booked a birthday celebration lunch and wanted to be able to take our puppy. Very pleased to find outdoor seating surrounded by fields & views across the countryside. Menu was varied and very appetising! I ordered a monkfish main and was not disappointed. Beautifully presented and delicious! We all enjoyed our meals steak dish & fish & chips also ordered. We then ordered pudding, again dishes were very good. Eaton mess, sorbet all good. Lovely staff, attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend!
Tasty Tuesday First - what a lovely welcome we had from H when visited. Then to a delightful exciting menu to suit everyone’s taste buds a dilemma. The Classic comforts - interesting seasonal mains very tempting. However, we felt the lighter bites option on this occasion - Open roast rib of beef sandwich amazing - along with the Sussex game terrine a wonderful tasty decorative plate. Chef Adam surely has an excellent culinary talent. Look forward to returning to experience more of the menu.
We went there today - was truly fantastic - the food was amazing and very good value for money - the home made bread and butter excellent topped off with magnificent service - a treat thank you from the Kiwis - well done team! Highly recommend- what a treat- also amazing to hear Jerusalem was written upstairs! A++++
Fantastic tasting food, beautifully presented and very good portion sizes. Nice wine list including local fizz. Excellent value and friendly but relaxed and unobtrusive service. Gorgeous interior decor, although we were sat outside for covid restrictions on a nice terrace with pleasant views. Will return
Me and my husband went last month not long after new ownership. We had an absolute gorgeous starter which we shared Camembert homemade breads even GF! For the mains we had Wellington and the Venison so delicious! We spent the best part of the evening there with plenty of drinks before and after a firm favourite for us, we will be back that’s for sure. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
We held the wake for my dad's funeral here, and I can't fault anything - Suzy & her team were excellent ensuring everyone was looked after, and Adam the chef put a delicious spread together. Highly recommended.
If I could rate this place higher I would. Firstly I want to thank all of the management and staff for making my grandads 80th birthday a special one. The food was cooked to perfection and all three courses were a delight. Our meal was accompanied by a fabulous bottle of local wine that was enjoyed by all. Massive compliments to the chef as the flavours were exceptional and it’s a meal that will be remembered. I would encourage people to go and support this incredibly beautiful local business you will not regret it.
Excellent food fit for a quality restaurant, completely not expected at a pub! Very nice, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Very good gluten free options. We were there on a Sunday evening, and the atmosphere was quiet, but friendly.Food: 5/5
A popular local pub that has recently changed hands. Good portion sizes with an interesting array of menu choices, many using local produce. Outside seating area poor due to road noise, so best to eat indoors in their large restaurant. Very convenient for Goodwood events.
