The service here is always fantastic. All the staff are very friendly and Nicky is a great stylist. I would not go anywhere else. I would highly recommend this salon.

This wasn't even worth a star, went in to have my root's done,after they were done there was no difference . The hairdresser agreed & asked me to come back to get it rectified. She said I would be refunded because of this. So another appointment, they done my hair again & whilst I was sitting with my head on the washbasin there was whispering between two member's of the staff. My hair had gone wrong again!!! It was ginger in colour. You can imagine I was not happy, so I was asked to go back yet again!!. The third visit ended with the manageress doing my hair. She put highlights through to lift the colour. Yes I liked my hair but! Three trips all because it wasn't done right in the first place. There was no mention of a refund either. I wrote a letter to the owner Sophie at Image's Harold Wood. I explained all that had happened, I also explained that I am a self employed taxi driver & that this complete disaster cost me at least £70 in lost earnings. I also pointed out that I never received a refund as promised, so I was asking for a total of £99.00. I was offered a conditioning treatment & blow dry & would not get any other offer. She had the nerve to tell me she was out of pocket because of the extra time & products used on me. What??? Is it my fault that her staff are incompetent & couldn't get it right. I started using the salon about a year or so ago & had a girl called Tracy doing my hair, it looked great everytime. Sophie even started telling me why Tracy wasn't there any longer, I stopped her in her tracks and told her that was really unprofessional of her as it was none of my business as a customer. The end result was Sophie being really rude to me, refusing any kind of refund. I pointed out that I was going to take it further and she accused me of threatening her. How ridiculous, I thought as a disappointed customer I was entitled to speak to her about this & yes I am taking it further. I know this is a long and drawn out review but I feel customers should be warned. .

I recently had my hair coloured at what was once my regular hairdresser. I was left with prominent areas of grey still showing. Shocked I returned to the salon but was unable to have the treatment there and then. However, I was assured when I did return it would be sorted. When I did return the manager Mrs Morris stated 'I was here for a FREE hair colour' and 'would be back EVERY month.' Eventually the treatment was done only on the specific areas but it was poorly done as greys still showed and I was told these were the new greys and they had no duty to ensure these areas would be grey free. I was disappointed and insulted by the managers attitude and comments to a REGULAR customer as it was their initial mistake Moral of the story: businesses face complaints from time to time but how they manage them reflect how much they value us customers. I was treated like a crook by Red Hairdressing and made to feel inferior. Respect yourself and find somewhere more professional.

As from Jan of 2015 Red Salons was taken over by Andrew John so any review before this date must be ignored . As there is 100% new fulltime staff, new Aveda products and the salon has a new look to , The problem with Google is that no matter what customers said on there reveiw there is no way for a business to reply Myself and my wife and kids love Andrew John
