Great draft ales, good staff, great bottled beer selection, only negatives not always open and it's a bit cold and unwelcoming.. replace a few stools with comfy arm chairs sorted..
Very disappointed coming here,got the impression there was a brewery free tour available. Was told they have stopped doing them. Expected a shrine to Cameron's fine ale. Found the bottle shop didn't stock much of Cameron's beer.
Outstanding selection of beers available over the bar and in the fridge. Whatever your in the mood for, they can accommodate. Great outdoor terrace and a designated smoking area separate which is great for the non smokers who want to sit outside. Not so great for smokers but it's not an issue worth avoiding this pub for. If your in the area you would remiss not to visit. Even if you're just passing by, it's worth popping in to see the huge selection of cans and bottles you can take with you. Staff were friendly and efficient, even if they seemed a little bored but it was a quiet Thursday afternoon in their defence. I have no doubt its a wonderful pub to visit if you're out and about of an evening. Not somewhere to go if you're looking for a cheap pint but you get the quality you're paying for.
A really great place for drinks and comfort. "L' shaped in section with a good selection of beers and drinks at reasonable prices.The seating is really comfortable and varied,with a sofa and armchair arrangement ,on a raised are at the rear of the long room.

The anchor tap just gets better and better. I've visited numerous occasions and probably visit monthly. Great staff and a very extensive range of beers. Not only is it extensive but its forever changing. There's beers from the local area, the wider UK and of course from Europe. The prices are great and it's a lovely place to relax with a beer.
No draught Strongarm beer at the time of my visit which is disappointing considering it's piped straight from the brewery.The special I chose was just like soda water. Not good for a Saturday night.
