Viewed a property with castledene, i really liked the property so went into office to see them, A woman called Lizzie told me if i paid the £240.00 admin fee now the property would be put on hold for me, i thought great that would give me time to ring council to ask how much rent would be covered for me on the property, i got back home and received a email from castledene to fill in application but i decided to ring the council first, i rang council to ask How much rent would be covered before i filled in my application with castledene and i was told off council I would have to pay £152.00 short fall every month because the property was too high in rental price, ( got a shock )  I rang castledene straight away to explain what council told me and told castledene I could not afford to pay £152.00 short fall a month, this was 2 hours after I gave castledene my admin fee, while I was on phone i asked politely if it would be possible to get a little of my admin fee back because my application was not filled in, a lovely girl who I spoke to on phone said we will see what we can do for you and I would get a phone call back in the morning ( I was so grateful ) next day I got a phone call off Lizzie and was told bluntly none of the admin fee would be refunded and I was not offered another cheaper property to view neither. I did not ask nor expect all the money back but a little money back would of been nice. The £240.00 i borrowed and i am now left to pay that money back for nothing, ( nice lump of money for only taking 2 mins to take a card payment and email address ) I now know I will not be viewing nor renting a property off castledene in the future, It has been a lucky escape for me but it makes me sick to the stomach to think Lizzie WILL be asking another poor soul for another £240.00 admin fee that has already been paid for a application ready and waiting to be filled in for the same property.  ( Beggars Belief )
