We took my mother out for her 81st birthday. The food was amazing. The setting was perfect. The waitress was extremely efficient and very friendly. I have not enjoyed a social meal as much as this for a very long time.
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here. After a warm welcome we enjoyed a very relaxed meal. The service was friendly and very efficient, the food delicious and really well prepared. Can really recommend the refreshing lemonade. Just a luxury experience at a good price. Thanks to all
The Sunday roast dinner here was out of this world, I can highly recommend this pub. On a lovely Sunny day like today their beer garden is a really nice place to sit. It’s a dog friendly pub too. The village of Bishop Burton is a very picturesque place with two village ponds. Will definitely be back here again in the future. 10/10 quality food, great service, nice location.
Excellent meal, very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for us. They were attentive without being fussy. Excellent meal, well cooked and presented. Nice pint of Pedigree to wash it down with. This place is punching above it's weight. Will be back soon.
Dog friendly pub in the small village of Bishop Burton. Situated right opposite the attractive duck pond with its multiple varied waterfowl. Pleasant, helpful staff. Good service. Clean pub. Large spacious interior with a choice of several good sized rooms. Stone flagged floor at bar. Has large car park and plenty of tables outside for dining/drinking at. It's a Marstons pub, so handpulled cask beers were Marstons Pedigree Amber Ale; Wychwood Brewery Hobgoblin; Eagle IPA and Wainwright's. Good menu with vegetarian options available. I had the Cheesy Nachos, followed by Espresso Martini Tiramisu. Not had a tiramisu before, but if they're all as good as this one was, then I'll be sampling that again. Vanilla sponge, vodka coffee soaked sponge fingers, mascarpone cream, lightly dusted cocoa, double cream. Yum! Burp! Oopsies! Heartily recommend this pub to you. Very good across all fronts.
Nice food although mash was tasty it was a tad cold.food was well presented and the pie was full of meat and very tender. The sweets although limited where to die for. At £80 for three it doesn't make it an everyday eatery but as a treat it was enjoyable
The food was fine. It was my intention to have three pints and my wife drive. After our food was delivered we saw not ONE staff member to beckon to top up drinks. We could hear them chatting and laughing somewhere but they weren't available to us during our meal.
Met my eldest son, wife and grandchildren at the pub. Had an excellent meal and staff were very polite and help. Dining area catered for my 2 young grandchildren having highchairs available. I have used this pub for over 50 years set in the beautiful village of Bishop Burton.
A friendly welcome greeting and promptly taken to our seat. The staff were very attentive making sure we had our drinks. Our food order was prompt and delicious a wonderful dining experience in a cosy, friendly environment.
