Had the most amazing experience with alpha taxies. After overestimating our cycling abilities, we (and our two bikes) were picked up on a god forsaken road, within minutes, during the very busy cowes week. The driver drove us to our Air BnB to pick up our bags, the cycle hire place to leave our bikes and then over to the ferry port. Definitely our knight in shining amour when other taxi company's refused to pick us up with our bikes.. Thank you so much!

Expected the fares to be slightly more expensive due to the festival but got a female taxi driver on Thursday night who told us that they weren't charging extra rates. When the fare reaching £17 which we had paid to get there, I realised that we weren't near our cottage yet and queried it.. she became quite rude asking us if we're good for the money.. we had no problem paying the money.. we just were not expecting it to be £30.. we were in no way rude to her at all yet she was very arsey with us. Then on the last night of Festival we somehow got this same woman again and we were quoted £35 .. the meter got up to £35 and we asked if we were close by as we only had £35 on us and that's what we were quoted.. she started moaning at us saying that it was a guesstimate and she'll just drop us off there.. in the middle of nowhere.. she did end up taking us to the cottage but was driving recklessly (hitting a kerb and everything) and telling us that we were being rude to her... this was not the case at all.. we were just querying the issue. This woman is by far the rudest and strangest taxi driver I have ever come across.

Total rip off!! Taxi from west cowes red jet to Sandown charged me £30 ! Wish i had checked the price before hand and I never would have used them.and the taxi stank of smoke.disgrace never use them again
