Visited this hidden gem of a place with four other ladies for a day of pampering and we were absolutely blown away with how attentive all staff members were. The surroundings are so calming and the staff could not do enough for us. We used the thermal rooms and found both Amazing. Along with a mixture of treatments we all felt like new women. I would highly recommend this spa and will definitely be back again. Thank you again to the ladies.
I love this spa. I always come back to Alexandra House Spa as I love the homely, relaxing and warm feeling it has. I have taken many of my friends here and we all love it as the staff are so welcoming and they do the best massages to relief pain. I 100 percent recommend the PURE PAMPER PACKAGE with a full body massage, as I think its great value for money.
Visited today with a friend for her birthday. On arrival the owner was not very welcoming, I did in fact think we were a few minutes late as we got stuck in traffic, however when I apologised for running late I was greeted with and I quote, Your not late your five minutes early which she said rather abruptly and not even a smile, it took her all her time to look up at us. Her saving grace is her staff, who fortunately are less sour than she is. The young ladies are polite and nothing is to much trouble. If you have problems with stairs due to disability this place is not for you. It’s an old house with steep stairs and lockers etc are up stairs. The young girls were very kind and tried to accommodate myself as I have a replacement knee and am waiting for another operation. In the relaxation rooms all the seats are low and this makes getting up and down difficult, I had to ask for help, it’s certainly not disabled friendly. Before arriving at Alexander house I had to telephone to ask if one of my friends treatments could be changed from an Indian head Massage to a facial. This was accommodated, however the owner wanted a further £5 . I had already spent a few hundred pounds and paid for lunch etc and she had the cheek to ask for further money. The facial took just as long as the head massage did with nothing extra involved. The owner said the product used on the facial cost £5 more. !!!!!!! Absolutely disgusting and it has put me off going back, that and her arrogant attitude. That £5 has cost her a lot of money as on the strength of us both going today a few of my friends were waiting to see if they should book, and also buy vouchers for there daughters in law for Christmas gifts. They are not going to bother when I phoned and told them about what it was like and the extra money, they are now going to look elsewhere to book, we have a few recommendations for other spars. Being greedy has got her no were. My advice is look around there are a few in the Lindley/Outlane Halifax area that are also very nice and the owners are not greedy.
Myself & my husband have just spent a blissful afternoon at Alexandra House Spa! We started with hot chocolate, marshmallows & cream, in the relaxation room, complete with in robes and flip flops, followed by a back massage & reiki, finished with coffee and cake. We would highly recommend this spa and in particular therapists Dimitra and Shameelah who were amazing! We will be back soon

Was taken to this lovely spa by my partner as a birthday surprise! Not a big fan of the massive health club spa’s that are common these days, so this quaint and very personal Alexandra House Spa was perfect! The staff were all lovely and very chatty and the entire experience was thoroughly relaxing. I had the full body Swedish massage from Maxine and it was fantastic, really helped relieve some tension in my neck and back. Would definitely come back again!
I love Alexandra House Spa. The decor is homely and relaxing. The treatments are excellent. The staff are very professional and nice. Maxine always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. She's always friendly, pleasant and professional. Best Spa ever!
A hidden gem! Had a wonderful morning with my mum. Stunning place, Maxine and all of the staff are amazing. Treatments were amazing and I will definitely go back and recommend. Thanks again for a lovely time x
This spa was a hidden gem, the whole experience was serene and the staff are absolutely amazing. The therapy rooms are soo relaxing and the massages were the best, Erica my masseuse was wonderful, such a delight to converse with and so professional you could tell she had many years of experience, my back has never felt better. I would highly recommend this place for a day of relaxing and pampering.
Arrived on a Tuesday with lovely sunshine and the sound of wind chimes. A wonderful garden can only imagine how relaxing it would feel in summer. Greeted with a warm welcome and was reminded of my time ahead. Shown to changing room, there was plenty of space and even a shower if required. Changed into a fluffy robe. I had the pamper package £35 last minute cancellation slot with additional thermal rooms £25 and 40min head massage £55. £115. Disappointed to see offers and discounts mid week in Feb and not to be offered those during the booking process. Next was given a foot soak and a drink in the very relaxing rooms, with the fire on was almost asleep in minutes of arrival. Then I was taken downstairs to the thermal rooms. For me I prefer the hot saunas so was just a little cool for me to feel any benefit. Not sure I would choose this again, although beautifully built and laid out just didn't feel the benefits of this area for the additional cost. The warm oat shoulder wrap was a nice addition, with cucumber and mint water too. After here was taken back to relaxation room for my paraffin hand wax treatment, unusual to have your hands wrapped in mittens, felt a bit useless for 20 or so minutes, would have been nice to have another cool drink at that point maybe with a straw. Instead I tried to have another nap. Next I had my treatment. 40 mins went far too quickly and I wish I'd have booked more. Then the cake came and extra drinks then was hometime. Staff were all lovely, plenty of them at least 6 I saw, all in all a good few hours peace which we all need from time to time. Thanks all .
