Great place to pick up things you didn't even know you needed. You probably can't get everything for a weekly shop here, but you can get most at a great price. Own brand items here are of good quality and often better than the equivalent named brands.
Almost all of the staff are rude and racist in nature. The majority of the staff act as if they own the store, and believe most of the customers are poor people trying to find bargains for their weekly shopping, so they are not concerned with customer service at all.nAldi's staff is overwhelmingly racist and lacks good customer service
If I could give zero stars I certainly would be, so i was out shopping today with my children, when I got to the till before even having my shopping scanned , the cashier a very rude man told! not asked me to open my handbag so I asked and what is your reason and I will comply just open it and let me check if you have shopping in there, like omg how rude of him so I left it was so embarrassing there was no excuse to accuse me of stealing no please no sorry no nothing . Even after I opened my bag apparently that still wasn't good enough. I have made an official complaint!!
Very good with the discounts but I still think that it's not quite there yet. You still have to visit one of the main supermarkets for some items.n##Aug 23 UPDATEnThe store has undergone a major refit and layout change which makes it look smart and better.nnThere are now new fridges around almost the entire perimeter and some new signage detailing how very energy efficient the fridges are.nThe product labels also, are all now electronic, but look like paper.nnA particular emphasis has been made on self service checkouts expansion. There's now 10 self service and 6 normal tills.nnI popped in for some quick last minute flying visit shopping on a Sunday morning and joined a long line of customers stood quietly waiting for the tills.nnAfter a few minutes of no movement I decided to go and check if there was any problems at the tills. I saw staff activity at the tills and assumed they were probably having some teething problems with the tills.nnAs I was getting late for a wedding and after having rejoined the que and waiting a further few minutes I decided to go and ask the staff how much longer we had to wait.nThe answer surprised me. we were waiting because they can't run anything through the tills before 11am.nnThe reason they had been open before 11am is for so called browsing we'll let you walk around the store and pick up more items than you actually came for so that we can increase our profits to pay for the shiny new look.nnI wasn't waiting around as I was already running late!nSuffice to say I put the flowers back and left.nLovely bunch they were as well. the flowers I mean!, the staff weren't bad either.nThe store need to make more customers aware of this policy or better still OPEN WHEN YOU CAN SERVE.n
Great layout and the staff member with dreads is always putting in a shift for customers. He’s the best employee there and should be awarded in anyway possible.
