I regularly shop at this store, but my recent experience was very disappointing. I only had 3–5 items and was using a trolley. I wanted to use the self-checkout to avoid waiting in a long line at the cashier. However, the staff were rude and blocked my way, saying I couldn’t use the self-checkout because I had a trolley. I wasn’t buying many items and didn’t want to wait a long time, so this felt unnecessary and frustrating. Customers deserve respect, and the staff’s attitude was not respectful at all. Customer service really needs improvement.
Been very disappointed with aldis customer service. I visited the store in Meanwood and did my food shop and picked up some white diy t-shirt craft presents for my nieces. When I got home the blood juice from the pork belly had leaked all over my food shop and the gifts and stained the t-shirt. I looked at aldis online policy and said I can visit any store and return within so many days. So the next day I went to my local aldi this one asking just to exchange the pork which wasn't sealed properly and the two white t-shirts with clear stains from the meat juices gifts for young children. The manger was refusing to refund and told me I had to go back to the original store I bought it from. I was confused and explained what I read online and how it would be really out my way to go to Meanwood. He seemed busy trying to mange two customers at once but he did agree to a refund. However I had to exit and re-enter the store and pick up another pork belly I left picking up new t-shirts. No apology for the inconvenience or help replacing spoilt goods. aldi needs to give out better policy's to help employees give better services and think the manger might need more customer service training. Worked in it myself and it's not hard to make a customer happy when a small inconvenience happens.
Great prices always quite busy but doesn't take long as plenty of self survey and tills
My.review is regarding a visit on 27.09.2025. At approx 8.30pm. The manager David was very rude to me and my 6 year child who has special needs. David came very fast with a palette loaded with heavy food and pushed my son. David was not looking which is very careless of him. With a heavy pallette he should have been more.careful He stopped and started to shout at me and my son saying for me to control him. I dont know why he was shouting at me and my son as he was the one at fault and he was the one who was coming at us in a very fast speed.nnHe was very aggressive and rude. I dont know if he had a bad day but he was very unprofessional in his approach. I didnt know he was a manager as managers dont.act like this in front of customers. There was other customers looking and he didnt seem to be bothered. I said I would make an official complaint as the other manager debbie I tried speaking to about this incident didnt want to speak to me as David had already told him his side of the incident making me and my son at fault. She was very rude too. So I guess previous reviews were right that the managers have bad attitude towards customers.nnMay be he needs to get trained on how to be good with customer.nnI later checked to see reviews of this aldi and I could see there has been multiple review left regarding the attitude and conduct of the managers so its clearly something that needs to be looked into further and investigated by head office.nnI will be making an official complaint and hopefully something is done Asap as this is letting the name of aldi down and particularly this store.
Customer service: 0.nAggressive Service.nVery rude employees, even aggressive.nI personally prefer to pay more for a good service.nEven in prices, there is not a big difference.nTesco has some products cheaper.nI totally recommend Don't come to this place if you hope a good service.
