Fast service, great clean beer, obviously had its day , like walking back in time to the 70s, get it on your list if you haven't been as redevelopment marks it's life is coming to an end next year !
Nice enough typical estate pub serving a reasonable selection of keg beers and one real ale. There's a decent pool table in a separate room off the main bar. The bar is small but there is outside seating too. The landlord is welcoming and the locals are friendly.
Local town pub, lovely comunty
One of the most kindest ladies I have ever met is there. Her heart is open to the community, she is charismatic, welcoming, and just generally a lovely person. Whoever says any different needs to reflect upon what the true meaning of kindness is. This lovely lady does not deserved to have slanderous comments made about her. She is the heart of that community. Maria never let None dull your sparkle x
A real locals pub. Great staff a real Landlady. No P.C. bull plop and a well cared for cellar as my beer is always decent. X bar & mystery shopper. John the Fish.
Great pub! Friendly staff and clientele! I especially like Maria Butler and Toni Ward! What I don't like is gutless muppets who hide behind anonymity to publicly insult people! How sad that you took the time to do this, but you don't have the courage to say this to our faces! I'd like to know how we're scum? We work hard, we're good to the people we care about, etc; whereas you are clearly some sort of inbred numpty! Did writing that review relieve some of the frustration you must feel at your sad existence? I hope so! Maybe next time work on your own issues instead... you clearly desperately need to get a life so that you don't feel such jealousy that it drives you to this! I pity you! Love Toni
Amazing pub amazing People. Never known such a close knit community. Absolutely everyone is there for eachother not to judge but to lend a helping hand whether you been there once or a thousand times. Unfortunately jealousy is an extremely serious disease and every now and then a sad deluded individual unknown to man appears in this pub. Yet kid you not we will take this reprobate into thus arms and nurture and guide as we realise that a illness of such a kind is no joke. We blame them not for their foolish remarks and without further ado kindly raise a glass to them as a token of respect . Just be vigilant the next time a reprobate crosses your path take time to stop and reach out to them and make sure they're okay as it cannot ever be easy walking in the shadow of scumbags. One love Love Maria
