Thank you for a wonderful stay! Wonderful escape only a few hours from London with great facilities and handy booklet of local info, walks + Pubs. Gorgeous setting and really nice pub next door. Perfect weekend :)

A bit of a green warrior's retreat feel to it. We felt the owners saw it as less than important when put alongside their other business interests. It clearly had a lot of work put into it when first created, although the original energy has not been maintained, much like the garden. Beyond the obvious environmental sympathies, there are a lot of instructions for the customers to comply with, and truthfully, some of these should have been dealt with for us in the price. A rather cramped site which might suit some, but we go camping for the sense of wilderness, not the potential of unavoidable socialisation. The free roaming chickens, ducks and geese are the saving grace.... But then there is the "guano". Lots of it, which only crumbles and becomes absorbed into the grass when dry. However, when the weather is wet for a few days in a row?.. It soon becomes impossible to walk across the site and not to step in some.

A really lovely, tiny campsite and very well equipped with everything you could need. We'll definitely be back.
