I’ve been a loyal patient to Albany house for over 18 years. They are always so quick to answer the phone and give me appointments when necessary. The male receptionists are so friendly especially the one with the long beard. On one occasion my medication wasn’t ready to collect yet, but they always ring me to tell me it’s ready instead of waiting around for it. Staff are all friendly :
To anyone putting on a bad review- which is 99.9% of people I would not bother as this totally disgraceful practice "Just do not get how bad they are" I complained numerous times all I got back was NUMEROUS letters advising myself how wonderful they were and if I did not like it go elsewhere The practice is rated as "Good" by the care quality commission! Which quote frankly is a joke! Report them to the CQC. The more of us who do this - the more something might get done!Thankfully I have moved and no longer have to put up with the totally disgraceful service! Worth minus a million stars!
I have always had great experience from the Albany House. They are so concerned about our health and can also get appointments whenever we are urgently in need. I am so happy with them!
Poor service every time!! Every time I call at least 40+ people in the queue, 1hour 35 mins on hold to be told there are no appointments. You ask why you were on hold for so long to be told you didn’t have to hold and to use the call back service. The point I’m making is is still be waiting 1hour 35 mins to be told there are no appointments. The receptionists are rude and have no empathy, robotic is a good way to describe them.
My mum has had health issues for a while. The surgery has been so patient with her and even did a home visit. The doctors have done all they can to help.
I’d give no stars at all if I could! I suffer with a long term health condition which not only causes me severe pain and impacts on my mobility but now my mental health is also suffering due to the lack of care. I have been trying to see my GP for over 2 years now but because you’re unable to book a future appointment you must call on the day and it must be as an emergency only. As my condition is not considered as such, I am still unable to get an appointment, even though the DWP contacted them directly concerned about my well-being! Repeat prescriptions have not been issued as a review is required and yet even this is not considered as an emergency! An absolute disgrace to the NHS
The receptionist are the most rude stuck up bunch of obnoxious people I've ever met! After ringing up when they first open and being on the phone for 1 hour and 13 mins I get told there's no appointments! I voiced I'm disabled and can't come down to post a request for pain killers and was told "that's not my problem"
Not really going into the ins and outs - but to wait for over 30 mins on the phone , to be told bluntly to ring back tomorrow - for next day appointments .. When I actually do not want a next day appointment ? Why an earth can you not book an an advance appointment to see the doctor at a later date ?? If the surgery is not taking any more appointments - why let people hang on the telephone like idiots for such a length of time???? There are a couple of good doctors in this surgery - but the system and the overall management of the surgery is dreadful . Looking at the feedback its the same old same - no incentive to make the experience less painful .. shame on you Albany House Team !
Feeling unwell and hard to breathe I called from 8.30 onwards. Try abd try and try again. Line was constantly engaged which shows the pressure of general.practice. by 3pm I got a call queue being number 21 in the line and kept holding. By 3.30 the lady said I would have to go to the hub as they had totally nothing, not even emergencies to give. 7pm I got the call from the hub Dr Khan was his name. He knew my plight and medication issued which partner collected in an hour. I could moan, but I know how real this is. The fight to get help is real. The team worked across the surgery to do what they can. I was better within 30 minutes of the medication and now recovering. I think you deserve praise for working under that kind of pressure. Well done all of you.
My husband received a text today to ask him to ring for his test results. When he did this, he was then told to ring for a GP appointment. He has just been cut off after an hour and 25 mins in the queue, 25 mins of this time was at number 1. How can they be dealing with someone for a single appointment for 25 mins and then cut someone off waiting at 1. Phone system is not fit for purpose. Not good for anyone with high blood pressure/anxiety etc. I would like to think that the Practice Manager reads these reviews. No-one ever seems to respond to them. We have both worked for the NHS customer/patient focused and would never leave them feeling so disempowered. If there was a reasonable explanation, then we might understand. Personally, I have always been able to get through and have had good service. for purpose. I have never had this problem when ringing up for an appointment.
