This is a fantastic surgery, very friendly staff from the receptionists to the clinicians. The practice nurses and nurse practitioners are the best, angel walking on earth. Doctors are very thorough and knowledgeable, always repeat what the patients say to be absolutely sure they have heard correctly. Totally recommend to any new patients.
Once again can't fault this practice. I rang this morning at 9.15 and was able to take my mum at10.30. The receptionist answered the phone very courteously and very helpful indeed and I only had to give her name and she knew who it was. So the doctor was also very patient with mum and talked us through everything. Thank you all for your kindness especially Suzanne
I was with Castlefields practice before thy merged. No problems. Since they merged I have tried to get three appointments to no avail. You either can’t get an answer or no return call or a long delay in returning the call. Am seriously considering changing to a different practice.
Poor service. Repeatedly changing appointment times without informing me prior, meaning I leave work, go to the GP, only for then to inform me when I arrive that it’s been rescheduled for a different time in the day. This has happened on numerous occasions. I have a job. I can’t keep randomly leaving throughout the day. Furthermore the doctors are heavily underqualified. Using insincere language and informing me that if I haven’t had treatment within X amount of days, I might as well not have any because “you’d probably have died already”. It took me 4 appointments to finally get a doctor who would listen to me. They do not read prior patient notes meaning I need to repeatedly explain myself every time I go. Shocking performance.
UPDATE: You can see a doctor same day if you have a flu. With a cancer, you have to wait months! This place is becoming funeral directors. After the merge, this place been going dogs. I found out this morning, it has nearly reached the bottom. I'm almost speechless after talking to very rude member of staff this morning. The list of issues is longer. Reviews say it all propably. Shame doctor Khan must take part in all this. I feel sorry for you doctor.
I went to see a Dr on the 28th December after misunderstanding a prior appointment on the 27th because I was having a mini stroke! I thought I was having sinus issues, I couldn't open my left eye fully or hear from my left ear, I had woken up on 27th December and my left arm was numb and my leg and I couldn't move, I thought it was a resul of the flu I was suffering with at the time, but was concerned about my eye and ear so booked the appointment after it didn't improve. To add the Dr I saw on the 28th hasnt updated my patient record when I checked on my file... she sent me away and said I had a virus, my father mum and other family are fuming, and are telling me to put in a complaint to the practice manager at the surgery and to book another appointment to get this put on record and are concerned it wasn't picked up. Have told me every time I suffer any symptoms to record and photograph from now on. I'm confused because whenever I have seen staff before I have been treated or advised, my children always treated and advised, I have never experienced to my knowledge this type of negligence before. And im lucky to have survived, apart from being off balance this week, and having tingling sensations in my arm hands and foot and feeling dizzy and faint which I all put down to the virus I've had for 25 days prior I'm not dead. My daughters love me and need me in their lives, my family love me.
Dr Rajat Sricastava has absolutely shocked us today… visited the hospital for my 8 year old son and was literally thrown out of the hospital because they said 111 had not given all the information to see him. We were waiting for over two hours and was asked to leave because I was frustrated that they did not have enough of information to see my son.. absolutely ridiculous!!! This is not acceptable and they will be reported to the CQC for unacceptable practice procedures. How can this be acceptable? In addition the staff had asked me for already provided information over 4 times. How can this be a professional service. I moved from London and was delivered the most dreadful service. Clearly he thinks he owns the hospital and needs to be put in his place by his seniors.
Every dealing I have had with abbey medical has been positive from the receptionist/staff who answer your call through to the nurses and doctors you see. I cannot fault this doctors. Always take you seriously. Do everything they can to help and if you ring at the time requested you can actually get into see someone on the same day. Amazing!
What a fantastic experience. I lost my ventolin inhaler 24 hours before going on holiday. Popped in to the surgery at 9.30 and had my prescription ready for me a few hours later. Cannot fault the speed and service from the medical staff. From the receptionist to the Doctor and the pharmacy.
excellent, excellent, excellent, excellent..... cannot praise and thank abbey staff enough. they are always polite and helpful, despite both teresa and l darkening the doors regularily. special praise to michelle and her nursing team, who, have the unenviable tasks of dressing our legs with monotonous regularity. always patient and cheerfull despite being very busy and have time for us. both teresa and l have no hestation in recommending the staff at abbey medical to anyone and hold them all in very high esteem thank you all
