Good Lebanese food, comfy atmosphere, lovely decor and friendly staff. Lamb kofta little hard otherwise food was great. Had a lovely time with my family. Highly recommended
Very good vibe and very comfortable seating. Lamb shoulder was not hot, it was bland and not spicy at all, although it was very well tender meat. They need more variety in Tagine. Not the tastiest Moroccan food I’ve ever eaten, I will continue my search in birmingham for best Tagine yet!
Enjoyed their food and ambiance! Ordered mandi and the lamb was tender and juicy and also loved their shawarma and chicken wings.
Ordered a Whole Lamb shoulder that was served with rice, & a large Mixed Grill that was served with fries. To be honest, I expected that Lamb shoulder would have to be ordered 24 hrs in advance, but I was wrong, it was ready in front of us within 30 mins. I like my food nice & warm, this needed to be served a little warmer than it was actually served. That was the only down point, other than that, it was beautifully cooked, meat was very nice, soft & tender. But the fact it wasn't served nice & hot, before we were finished, it was cold & then greasy. I expected to see steam coming from it when served. The mixed grill was nice, again needed to be served a little warmer. But other than that, was an enjoyable mixed grill. In terms of customer service, was adequate.
Good traditional Moroccan/Lebanese style food and sitting arrangements. Friendly staff. We had mandi plater and steak... lamb was perfectly cooked and tender. Decent size portion. Moroccan tea at the end was spot on. Parking is bit of struggle and I think us free off road.
In the photos are the large hot mixed mezza, lamb mandi, chicken tagine and mixed shewarma and rice. Everything was delicious, absolutely delicious. The lamb mandi was moist and fall apart tender. The mezza had a a variety of dishes from nicely spiced batata harara to hummus to pastry filled spring rolls. The shewarma was very tasty and the bread... Wow. The service was top notch, on a busy Saturday night there was not one fault with any order or any drop in standard of service. We also ordered the passion fruit and strawberry Mojitos, which were absolutely fantastic. Would definitely recommend
Terrible. Don't know what's changed but the food is not fresh here. Less than 5 minutes after we had received our starters, the staff were asking if we were ready for our mains. After the third time, we had to tell them that we would let them know once we had finished out starters.... The mains were completely inedible. Total waste of food and money. Avoid.
Came to dine here after some reccomendations from friends. The food was great, we ordered the mezze platter for 2/3 people, lamb shank and lamb mandi. I have to say though that the lamb mandi wasnt on par with the rest of the food although it wasnt bad it could do with some improvement3 the lamb was well cooked but lacked some flavor. The staff was very polite and accomodating. The atmosphere was just right. Their falalfels on the starter were very good. The missing star is a result of the pistachio milkshake we had which was more like pistachio ice cream which had just been left out a little while. There was nothing special about it and does not justify the £5 price tag. Overall a good place, I would dine again and try other things on the menu.
Another positive dining experience at Al Bader Restaurant. Food was cooked well, good service overall and a pleasant atmosphere inside the restaurant. Thank you to the Al Bader team. If you want to try Lebanese food then I would highly recommend this place.Food: 5/5
4 for food, 2.5 for slow and indifferent service. But maybe it was just a busy day beyond their capacity. The lamb shoulder was fall-off-the-bone tender and the rice not too oily, so we loved it. Drinks were also good. The lamb tagine was smaller than regular tagines. The yoghurt dip and bread served as sides were great. Missing photos of tagine and other drinks
