The food here is absolutely stunning. The decor is a little dated, but cosy and welcoming. The staff are attentive without being overbearing. And, have I mentioned how great the food is?!

Looking for a decent non chain in Basildon is tricky. I come here for work and Akash is the best place I've been to. More than that it's one of the best curry houses I've been to full stop. The food is excellent, my Koria was well spiced but not too spicy, nicely balanced. The Mayans we had were perfect, crispy and doughy at the same time. Also the service is excellent. I spilt my drink into my food and without hesitation the waiter offered my a replacment curry. The decor is 70s cool but not worn out. Really great place which I am likely to visit everytime.i come to Basildon.

Have genuinely had some excellent take aways for years from here, however, the last two times we have eaten from here the food hasn't been great. will be trying a new takeaway locally, however, I wouldn't rule out returning to the Akash.
