Story

Spend time with us for great pub food in a place you'll love. We serve classic dishes with a modern twist - it's the perfect place to get together with familly and friends. The Airfield Tavern is named after the nearby Yeovil Aerodrome and was built in 2002. We pride ourselves in being a real home from home, with freshly cooked, classic pub food, friendly staff and a first class drinks range! Plus we're close to Sherborne Abbey, Ham Hill and Montecute House for those family days out.

Capable place. Lots of tables free for eating with alcoves to make it feel secluded on a busy night. Staff are often concerned if you've booked for food despite plenty of space. Food is good. The cost of a pint is over £4!!!!

Huge bar/restaurant next to the out of town Premier Inn. There is a reasonable selection of beers, wines and spirits to be had. Food is of typical chain restaurant fare but it is OK in terms of quality. Service is a little slow but acceptable. Plenty of free parking on site. Open all day for breaksfast, lunch and dinner.

Good range of meals and desserts at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff although can be a little slow at peak times which would be less irritating if they remember to tell you on arrival of any delays. Overall good value for money but service and customer care could be better.

For a number of years I have been a loyal customer, however the wait between the course is getting longer and longer. We booked the Boxing Day lunch for 4 people at 2 pm and got the sweet course just coming up to 4 pm. I think that 2 hours to get 3 courses is too long. And, the quality of the food was mediocre. Previous lunchtime visits have also been met with slow service from the kitchen. If you are in a hurry don't eat here. The staff are great but the kitchen service spoils what is a great location and facilities.

All great service and wonderful atmosphere. Staff all very helpful. Great food. Ideal for couples or families. Looking forward to going again very soon!!
