A lovely place to wander around listening to the birds and the wind in the trees, enjoying the ponds. I spent an hour parked in the car park in my camper-van just listening to the sounds of people enjoying themselves while making a brew! Toilets basic but well maintained. The two walks are easy for adults and children alike! Bring boots especially after rain as it can get very muddy!
Great walk round with lots of different paths to take. Dog friendly. The lake is very pretty and there is some fantastic old trees. Dog-friendliness: It is dog friendly. Picnic area: Benches to sit on and one random kids swing on it's own.
There's plenty of routes to choose from with some main paths having an aggregate surface ideal in winter to avoid walking through mud. A forest with plenty of space and interesting features such as a lake with wildfowl. Plenty of parking with hourly rates, we invested in an annual parking pass, which can be used at Friston Forest too, it down pays for itself. Restrooms: Clean well appointed toilets with disabled access Dog-friendliness: A dog friendly forest whose visitors are generally very thoughtful putting dogs back on leads if they sense your dog might not welcome a free running pack!
Nice trails, well-kept main paths. Really enjoyed the walk around, some parts of the woods is really quiet.
The perfect place to go for a walk with the family or a just a casual dog walk. Its quite easy to get lost as we were not familiar with the area but enjoyed it nonetheless - it would be nice to see more sign posts! You get a real feel for nature here, its very peaceful and great way to spend a couple of hours.
A total surprise as there is a huge car park and space set aside for picnics and a kids play area. An extensive pattern of broad, partially metalled rides as well as woodland trails to the lake, with bluebells and wood anemones in spring. There’s a ‘Coffee Taxi’ on hand and public toilets. Popular with families with kids.
Lovely place plenty of parking ,but you can explore and hardly see anyone else ,lots of trails some long ,otherwise do your own and children can be let of leash to run and explore, plus loads of bluebells .take a picnic great day out .
Lots of trails and nature to see and explore. Great day out for all the family and a bbq area. Oak walks and simple ways to go. Lots of den building all over and easily accessible to the disabled with wheelchairs
A brilliant afternoon walking through the woods exploring the nature for school project. Well maintained and looked after with clear signs to mark the footpath. Car park is is pay and display with options to pay by phone or by Ringgo app.
Parked before car park as had no way paying on me. I have disabilities and no.blue badge parking Still.got a ticket . Next time I will.park somewhere free like country park It's a shame so.many places charge Not everyone has card or phone or cash on them.. What happened free country walks
