Personally had 0 problems with the store. Really friendly and helpful staff that take their time to help you find what you're looking for. Bought several items there over the years with no complaints. Also allowed for an exchange when I bought a ring that was too small which I really appreciated
10/10 customer service from Toby - Bought a silver necklace, rare case of a faulty sale which broke the same afternoon so took it back the following day. Toby exchanged it with no fuss and no charge, didn’t try and dispute it, was quick and helpful and a sound guy. Also bent the link into a shape that could fit the crucifix I’d brought.
Surprised by all the bad reviews! I visited and was helped by a friendly male member of staff who was patient with me helping size all my fingers and he assisted while I deliberated which rings to buy. I bought 5 silver rings and have had no issues at all since, they even gave me a discount. Writing this review as I am planning to go back and get a couple more rings soon. I also haven’t found anywhere cheaper for real silver chunky/alt rings and even better that you can try on in person before buying.
The jewellery went green and rusted after a month …. Never worn in the shower etc. I was told it’s good quality when I got it too. I went in to let them know and the first guy I spoke to was so rude ! I told him the issue and he basically said what do you want me to do and what did I said again like I was talking to myself … a very rude boy …. clearly he needs a little more training on how to speak to people and deal with issues … won’t be coming back here … after that… even my family couldn’t believe how he spoke to me … so if you go there please be careful of his manners … and overall service. He also didn’t ask me if I wanted a refund or exchange and passed me to someone who knew what they were doing when he couldn’t find the same one…. The second guy was a lot easier to speak to and dealt with the issue so thanks..
Absolutely amazing, my go to place for piercings and other things. Staff are an absolute delight and the stock is always so gorgeous. A must visit if you're in afflecks.
Bought some lovely jewellery from them.. twice over the last four years each time I visited Manchester. Very friendly staff, patient and even checked their full stock to find something for me.
My husband bought a thumb ring for me, but the ring was too big. We went today to get a refund because I saw nothing else I liked, but they would only offer an exchange or a credit note. If it had been a piece of jewellery for a piercing, I can understand refusing a refund because of hygiene reasons. But it was a thumb ring. The girl that served didn't even give a reason as to why they would not refund and the only sign posted was a dog eared piece of card that stated when buying "body" jewellery because of health and hygiene reasons no exchange/refund would be offered.
I've brought 6 rings in total from Abacus. The customer service was one to remember. I've sinced moved away from Manchester but have them in my thoughts. Looking forward to visiting and hitting up the shop
I’ve been in a couple of times, and today I went in again to buy a silver chain bracelet my wife loves is so much costumers service was very good as always. VERY HAPPY!
Sold me an incomplete product and then blamed me for it being incomplete as the have a sign saying to check for breakages. As I saw no broken parts I assumed all was well until I got home to see that the accessories advertised with the product were missing. When I took this to them they proceeded to imply that I had broken it and refused to replace the missing part, give me a refund or let me exchange for the complete product. They even said 'I don't know how that could have happened since we check them', which is clearly untrue as MY PART WAS MISSING! The staff member then tried to sell me a replacement part even though it was their error and therefore wanted me to pay up more for THEIR mistake. Very shady business practise and customer service. Don't recommend this place, you'll lose a lot of money.
