A Camping and Caravan Club Site as a member, I'm shocked that this place is in their portfolio. Bin area disgusting. Catching Covid was the last thing on my mind to be honest. Signs in public loo to wash hands yet no soap or gel available. Totally unacceptable.

Does what it says on the tin. Facilities clean, shower's hot and  pitched hard standing with hook up. Yes, there's road noise with sympathetic planting but that's to be expected when you have the advantage of dropping back on A1 with ease. Owner was even kind enough to rescue us when our sat navs took us off at the wrong exit. Good value / one overnight stop off on our way home from Scotland.

OK for one night stop over, there's no toilet roll or hand soap shower was filthy I think all the owners do is cut the grass occasionally

I would have been better sleeping in my car on the hard shoulder of the A1 and saved myself £45. £15 a night for a single man tent and 1 toilet to share is daylight robbery.

Stayed there for a few nights recently as son had a hospital stay at Leeds and we aren't local. The only reason this has a 2 star is for it's handy location to the A1. It is extremely noisy with passing traffic noise and the toilet block was not pleasant. The block itself is breeze block construction with corrugated roof. Over the toilet it is clear perspex so ap to act ap a roof light. The walls and ceiling were covered with cobwebs and bugs/spiders and even when someone came to clean them at the most frequent they are cleaned every other day, no effort was made to brush away the cobwebs or bugs and to be honest, I'm dubious ap to how thorough a clean the block was given as was very quick. The shower cubes were no better so we opted to strip wash rather than shower there. Really would NOT recommend unless you have your own facilities in your unit.

Handy for 1 night stopover but traffic noise was horrendous

Expensive and noisy, as all motorway services are, it was particularly deafening in Costa where the Muzak had been turned right up for some reason only known to them.

The reviews of this are harsh. It is what it is. A place to sleep for the night with a toilet and shower if needed!
