A great place if you are a birdwatcher! Otherwise a good place to go for a reasonable variety of walks of different distances. Good paths and hides for watching birds on the various lakes. If you like places that are not too crowded then get there before 11:00. Good visitor centre with toilets and a self service coffee machine. Some paths suitable for wheelchairs buy not all.

Having lived in South Leeds for 40 years, I'd never visited here. Now I've been I really regret not having visited more often! The sanctuary is HUGE and the sheer number and array of birds is breathtaking. Binoculars can be hired from the shop and there and lots of friendly, helpful staff. Great place for the family to visit also.

First class place, will definitely go again soon. My gradson loved spending time there.
The staff are so friendly as well.
The Explorer packs made the experience fun, however at £3 to hire I felt it was a tad expensive based on the content.
Pool dipping on the other hand was worth every penny.

Lovely walk. Quite busy but that didn't spoil it at all. Everyone that visits seem to be friendly, including the staff. Dog walkers are responsible and all were on leads. Looking forward to going again.
