I have been using this vet since 2010 when I brought my kitten, Brandy for his first vaccine. Brandy is still around, and I continue to use A.J.M. Robson as she provides the best service and shows real care towards Brandy.  Also prices are affordable, and she does not rip you off. She is highly recommended.

This vet is very experienced, really cares about the animals and is not just trying to rinse you for money. I took my pet rats to be neutered and she advised against the operation as one of them was wheezing. She gave me realistic advice about potential issues with the anaesthetic and did not push for further treatment. I booked the operation for 2 weeks later and told her that I would let her know my decision.  I have decided against the procedure for the moment at least because they have improved a lot since the course of antibiotics. I rang today to cancel the operation as I thought it was tomorrow and I was told it was actually today. I'd missed it. Ms Robson was so nice about this, asking after my rats, and refused my offer to pay for the appointment. I just think with things like vets, having decent people advising you is so important. So - TLDR - I would definitely recommend this vet unless you care more about a super-sleek premises than the wellbeing of your babies.

This place was dirty and she stuck a dirty thermometer up my cats bum. Then she proceeded to wipe it once with a cotton bud. Hopefully my cat didn’t catch anything. There were dirty used needles sitting on top of the fire place and stickers from previous medications stuck above the fire place. The table where she put my cat on was dirty and we were told to leave because of ‘contamination’. The roof looked like it was rotting and there was no flooring. Luckily my cat was ok. She hurried us but was interested in the money I owed her. There were dogs locked in a ‘waiting room’. We were scared for our cat and will never put him through that experience again. NEVER COMING BACK!!!

Whilst it’s not your conventional veterinary practice, I felt relaxed and comfortable with the surgery. Mrs Robson is clearly experienced and well qualified. Took my 10 year old dog for a teeth clean and extraction for £180 vs £900+ I’d been quoted elsewhere.

I’m very happy with the teeth cleaning they have done for my Yorkie on three occasions now. They are friendly folks to deal with and their opening hours are convenient.

My cats are always looked after here - friendly staff & affordable prices. The house is massive on Highshore road so in a little bit of disrepair but the service has been good.

I felt like I was leaving my dog with Cruella Deville. The Vet is a very unfriendly person and a little rude. The place is full of mess, piles of stuff everywhere and very disorganised. I saw medication everywhere, not sure if it was up to date. When I called to follow up on my dog, they didn’t give much information and told me to call back later. I would never recommend or take my animals to this place again.

Would not recommend, would actively AVOID. Got the gender of my cat wrong multiple times. I was told my cat was likely terminally ill and told to book into a procedure to extract fluid from the stomach. Turns out my cat was pregnant - having the procedure would have almost certainly killed the kittens and put the mother in a life threatening situation. This place isn’t well equipped enough to provide thorough diagnosis or support for animals. I went for a second opinion because I didn’t trust AJM, and I was right to.

Jane has cared for my last two rescue Rotties. High quality care. She even did home visit during lockdown. To make sure my Buster didnt suffer. I rescued Jessie who was in rescue for 8 years she took her on straight away. She had a stroke treated her at home within hours. Reasonable prices and a vet that really cares. Cant fault her.

Very good price. Really friendly lovely lady with great advice about are new family member skyla x. I would recommend family and friends
