Great restaurant in the town center of Whitley Bay. Really good service and nice atmosphere between the staff. Really good treat to clients. We really enjoyed our lunch and we left happy with full tummies.
A beautiful little cafe in a lovely high street. Very good home cooked food, with a fab choice of cakes and scones to choose from. All looked absolutely delicious. Coffee, tea and lots of soft drinks.
Well my oh my! This is a gem of a place on Park View. The Whopper scone had leek and bacon and was so cheesy! I had the New Yorker which was so tasty, full of cheese, pastrami, gherkins and sauce. The bread was toasted to perfection and it came with a few crisps and a side salad. Reasonably priced, with food coffee and the staff were lovely. Would go back!

It's turning to early evening and I wanted a coffee and a piece of home baked cake. On Park View is 129 Coffee Shop. Owned and run by a dedicated team of friendly staff. I chose a Caffetaire of Coffee and a slice of Coffee Cake. The Coffee was perfect as was the cake. Thoroughly recommend 129 to a busy shopper.

Friendly. Good home made food. Been going there since it opened. Offered table closer to others than I'm comfortable with good social distancing. Changed for table upstairs. Much better. Update: suspect this has been taken over. Warm atmosphere missing. Quality of food deteriorated. Indifferent service. What a pity.Food: 3/5
Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful posts of tea. Homemade scones very nice. I had the coffee cake and unfortunately, whilst the butter icing was nicely coffee flavoured, the cake was a not so flavoured and a bit dry. That said I'd make a return visit.
