We have waited to go here for such a long time and it was worth the wait. The staff here are so friendly and accommodating and a pleasure to be served by. Had the broth today and it was filling and delicious. We will be definitely coming back as the rest of the menu looks amazing and full of home cooked delights!
Been wanting to try this place for breakfast for a little while now and finally did today. What a great cafe, very clean, staff very friendly, very reasonably priced and the food was excellent. We ordered two full English Breakfast’s and added some black pudding and mushrooms with toast and a cuppa. Other half couldn’t finish hers and I just managed to finish mine, absolutely stuffed! If I could give it more than five stars I would, can’t wait to go back and try the Sunday lunch. Just a heads up, it doesn’t open till 10am and only accepts cash but a great place for breakfast.
Lovely little traditional cafe - reasonably priced. Had homemade Victoria sandwich cake and custard and a coffee. Was delicious and the toilets were the cleanest I have seen in any cafe/restaurant.
Lovely, cozy cafe with delicious food at really great prices. Wonderful staff, all so warm and accommodating. Great gluten free options too! Lovely spot for a chill breakfast or brunch. Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options at no extra cost, staff are happy to check ingredients and make adjustments where necessary. They never make it feel like a bother.
I was recommended this cafe by someone I met whilst driving down from Scotland and it was a fantastic recommendation. I ordered a decaf latte and then treated myself to a slice of fruit roulade. Both were of very good quality. The latte was extra hot as requested and the roulade melted in my mouth. The staff were attentive and friendly and made sure I was well looked after. Definitely worth a visit.
Great home cooked food, reasonable prices, value for money, we go regularly. Has changed owners in November 2023. Food was OK. New staff and less customers. Mysteriously closed a couple of weeks ago, no notices up about it, nothing about it reopening.
Excellent breakfasts. The bacon is top-notch. Sausage is average but that's better than most places where I find it to be rather cheap and nasty. Service is good and they offer a good range of homemade cakes etc. rather than the usual Cash-n-Carry rubbish. I'm off there in an hour for me brekkie lol
Best food in whitley Bay. Amazing staff. Very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommendFood: 5/5
No-frills cafe. Friendly people. The menu's pretty basic but then you wouldn't come here for a scallops with micro-greens and a balsamic reduction: that said they do offer a gluten-fee breakfast. Full english is done well; they also do a Sunday roast: highlight is their chips which are home-made, freshly cooked and really good. Daily specials and home-made pies & cakes on offer too. Recommended.
I enjoyed a cheese scone and coffee served by extremely pleasant and helpful staff. I noticed meals being served to other customers looked delicious.
