Really bustling positive atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff and high quality food. Would be 5 stars for food if there were more options for gluten and dairy free. Parking: No direct parking here but very central location so easy to get to from lots of the main car parks. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizzas and pasta available. And allergens menu available but not enough options for restricted diets.
I've been a few times now and absolutely love the food, the service has always been good too. Reasonably priced, another go to restaurant!
Fantastic food and fantastic service. On here on a short break away and the staff and service is brilliant. Highly recommend. Thank you Star for making our meal so enjoyable in the garden area out the back.
This place was recommended to us by some friends, so we went there to grab a bite. The service was excellent, the staff was super helpful and friendly. We asked to change an item we ordered and they were very cooperative. The place itself is really nice. You have the option of sitting both outdoors and indoors. We sat outdoors and it was really nice. As for the food, we ordered the following: Garlic bread, king prawns spiedini, crisps, a margherita pizza, rigatoni della casa, rigatoni pesto rosso, vegan rainbow lasagna, and seared salmon. The garlic bread had some topping on it caramelised balsamic onions, it would’ve definitely tasted better without it. The crisps were crunchy, hot, and salty, they were really tasty. The king prawns spiedini were liked by everyone. The rigatoni della casa, rigatoni pesto rosso, and vegan rainbow lasagna were alright. The seared salmon was good. As for the pizza, it was really bad. The crust dough was cardboard like, the flavor was dull and bland. I was really disappointed by it it was what I ordered. For drinks we had sodas, and for dessert we had the following: the zillionaire's slice, chocolate melt, and the choc-banana brownie sundae. The zillionaire’s slice was disappointing, the taste was meh. The chocolate melt was alright, but I’ve definitely had better. The choc-banana brownie was everyone’s favorite. I should mention that the ice-cream that topped the dessert was really good. Lastly, the food took a while to get to the table, so if you were keen on going, I’d recommend you check the menu out before arriving and figure out what to order before hand. All in all, it wasn’t the best Italian restaurant experience, I wouldn’t visit this place again.
Went for daughter's birthday. Lovely place, lovely staff and excellent food. A complementary glass of prosecco for the birthday girl which was a very nice touch.
Lovely venue with friendly staff and good service. Food was varying in quality between dishes. Three of our party had a Calzone, and they all said that it was very good. I was told by another member of our group that the vegan rainbow lasagne was enjoyable if a little stodgy. The chicken calabreze was a bit burned to the bottom of the pan, and the sausage ragu didn't have much taste to it. This was reported to serving staff who took the two meals off the bill. The deserts were delicious. The waiting staff offered us the option of selecting deserts from the main menu and combining it with the Christmas 3 course offer which some of our party opted for. The kids were given colouring paper with quizes on and crayons to complete them, this was a lovely touch, thank you
Food was brilliant so no complaints there at all! Issues with the technology and paying systems caused a bit of a ‘ho ha’ whilst paying but we got there in the end! There must be some better tech out there for paying for large group meals? Would happily visit again.
Absolutely Amazing meal at Zizzi Exeter Whether with friends a Romantic meal or work Colleagues....... The attentiveness of Staff and the Service was Refreshing. Such a Relaxing atmosphere and so Unrushed . The Menue was full of Exciting Choices too with a Glass of wine which set the meal off Perfectly It's a Must go to Place .Booking is always a good Idea, Cant wait to Go Again
Never been to Exeter before but will remember the good experience we had in this ZIZZI venue. Been here on a holiday and we are trying all the good restaurants in this area , Zizzi didn't disappoint us that is for sure .
We had a really disappointing visit last week. Our table was waiting around for ages to be seen to, nearly 20 minutes, which ment we didn’t get drinks for over 35 minutes. We never got asked if we wanted another drink. Our main course came out over 2 hours after we sat down. All in all it was a night of waiting and unfortunately put a damper on our friend’s Birthday celebration.
