One of the best meals in London I’ve had in a while! If you’re looking for the best Ethiopian in town, this is it! Vegan friendly - we had the house favourite and Kategna bread honestly so so good! Owners were super lovely, offering extra lentils to finish our injera bread. Highly recommend!Food: 5/5

I have been hunting for a good Habesha/Ethiopian restaurant since moving to London from Washington, DC, a city known by its inhabitants for its exceptional selection of Ethiopian eateries owing to a sizable diaspora community. Zeret was the fourth such restaurant I’ve tried in London, and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was delicious and the owner even offered me an additional side for free given my pointed questions regarding the menu : definitely recommend!
The food was amazing. The sourness of the enjera balances really well with the dishes on top. The lady serving us was really friendly and accommodating as well. Definitely will go there again.
Food: It was our first foray into Ethiopian cuisine and me and my friend both felt that it made a solid impression on us. The starter bread was also really good and it was a good spice level. Unfortunately, after finishing the bread and having the platter, my dinner guest ended up feeling a bit sick but we couldn't pinpoint the reason. Service: The waitresses there very attentive and good at their jobs! They seated us where we wanted to be as well which was a big plus! Atmosphere: Really good atmosphere overall! Everyone looked like they were having a wonderful experience!
The food was incredible and a new experience for us! The staff were very kind and looked after us. Highly recommend you visit! I really wanted to give 5 stars but the place was extremely noisy as it was busy to the point where we couldn’t really have a proper conversation. I would really like to encourage the restaurant to consider fitting some sound absorption material on the ceiling! Otherwise, for other customers I would recommend trying this lovely place at a less busy timing!
I had somehow never had Ethiopian food before and I loved this place. I heard about it on the Infatuation and glad I took the recommendation. Would recommend a reservation even on a weeknight because this seems to be a popular spot for people the catch up in the neighborhood. Overall really enjoyed the dinner for two option with a little taste of everything. Also the tea was yummy.
Don't let the slightly dingy building that it is in put you off - this place is utterly charming, the staff were lovely, the interior is cozy loved the fresh flowers and very clean. If you've never eaten Ethiopian food before, don't worry you will get all the help you need from the amazing staff. The menu is quite short that's a good thing and sensibly priced. We had no real idea what to order but got all the help we needed. Oh, and the most important bit... The food was totally delish!
This place is genuinely amazing. Tafi and her staff make sure you have an excellent time and explain everything perfectly. The food was unreal, so flavourful, would 100% recommend trying this restaurant out especially if you haven't tried Ethiopian food. Their Ethiopian spiced tea is also amazing and a nice end to a beautiful mealFood: 5/5
