One of the most relaxing cottages we have rented and set in stunning grounds. Perfect for walking or chilling and in a great area.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed in Cob Cottage for a last-minute break in October. It's conveniently placed in lovely mountain scenery, with a restaurant next door. The Devil's bridges are a short walk away, as is the steam train to Aberystwyth, so no need to drive anywhere if you're that way inclined. The cottage is very comfy and just right for two, with everything we needed for a peaceful break. Owner Paul is friendly and helpful and the booking process went smoothly. Thoroughly recommended.
A fabulous holiday location! All of my party have said that they would like to come back to the stables again. This is a spacious, warm and comfortable house with ample room for upto 3 couples. Access to the extensive private gardens and beyond up to the hill top is very special. We also loved the accommodations green credentials with proper care regarding using renewables and recycling. The location was perfect for us with easy access to the coast and mountains. Safe parking for cars and bikes. Everything needed was there and ready. Host Nicola is not far away if anything needs escalating. Great centrle for hiking and mountain biking.
We love this place and have frequently returned to it. Well appointed, peaceful and secluded. Nicola is a very welcoming host and always makes a point of leaving out a welcome tray, with milk in the fridge too. Machynlleth is very convenient for local shops and has a train station! and there are plenty of walks to be had in the local area.
Beautiful cottage in an exquisite location. Very well fitted out for self-catering. Lots to do in the area, especially if you like outdoor activities. Very helpful and considerate owner. We enjoyed the local walks and the seaside at Aberdyfi and browsing in the local shops. Recommended.
Peaceful relaxing cottage. Lock-down stopped the planned visits to some of the tourist attractions, but a chance to polish the car and enjoy the wildlife in the garden. The slate mine tour will have to wait until next year.
Ideal place for us to visit family and friends.beautiful gardens and sun terraces. Good facilities for wheelchair user.wonderful environmentally restored building . Already booked for next year.
This is a wonderful cottage. A great place to see the birds and other wildlife.Rooms: 5/5
Edited In reply to the owner i posted this for my sister Mrs D Bell who did try to book with you and who you put the phone down on and who you were rather rude to ..ps i also have the email you sent her My partner booked this cottage in wales this weekend that was self catering but they did supplied a basket breakfast on arrival... they asked if we had any dietary needs we mentioned we were vegan and and paid the full amount of the stay ...a few hours later we got a reply saying the booking was cancelled as they dont accommodate people with special diets and we will receive a refund in 7-12 days ...we replied saying we could bring our own food and not a problem as it was self catering ...we received a curt reply saying sorry but we can't help you i also rang the guy who was very rude with me and hung up ..avoid if vegan or just avoid these nasty people
We book the cottage every year because it’s stunning, peaceful, and so very welcoming. We can’t wait to return again this year.
