We visited for Sunday lunch in the restaurant and were not staying. The staff were excellent and attentive, and the dining room was welcoming with a fire burning.nnThe lunch menu was £24 or £30 for two or three courses when we were here in October 2025.  One sour note here is their own website had £18 and £22 showing so the menu on the day was a bit of a surprise.nnSetting that aside, the food was delicious. We both had the red thai mussels for a starter and then roast leg of lamb with all the trimmings as main course.nnOverall it was a great place for lunch and I do expect that we'll be back.

The staff are very friendly and the location is great.  I stayed one night and probably wouldn't stay again.  The room was in need of redecoration and very dated with badly worn carpet.  Breakfast was a let down with old school offerings of prunes and grapefruit segments that gave the feeling of being in a care home. Kudos to the staff but the owners should be ashamed of not giving it more care and attention to detail.

Nice place to stay. Great staff, nothing was too much trouble. Beer selection was excellent and food superb.

Stayed a night with work. Great location, very friendly staff. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again

We stayed for two nights. The room is really not up to guests standards.Food was very good but on both evenings choices were not available from a rather limited vegetarian menu. The manager was exceptionally good however the service by one particular lady was absolutely terrible. She was rude, unhelpful and confrontational.
