Very wide menu. Have visited for breakfast, drinks during the day, and evening food in the ample beer garden. A great local that has been updated well. Very good quality food. Can order from the table using QR code. Excellent.
Wonderful pub. Friendly with a warm welcome. Food is fantastic, the staff Lauren who served me and my family so friendly and helpful. Andrew owner making fabulous cocktails! Please visit this pub, it will become your local.
Convenient at the moment given the large and spacious garden at the rear, which was once a bowling green. Service was friendly and the pub was clean and organised. Beer range was reasonable, although a little limited on real ales. We were a bit late for food, but the menu looked good with topped fries, burgers and pub meals. It's best to book a table at the moment to ensure a spot.
Nice friendly staff. Clean and modern with an open fire, making for a cosy atmosphere.
I found the wine over priced also the food. I did have an upset stomach after the meal but no one else in my party did. We did have different choices. It's a personal choice but I wouldn't go again. The service and staff were good.
Food was 10/10. Had a Roast, beautifully cooked. The Madri on draught however was tummy churning. Cleaner or limescale in the pipes. Shame the kitchen has closed.
Wow! This is not just pub food... this is top quality gastro-pub food. We had a peep at the menu on Sunday & decided to try dinner on Tuesday evening food was served 6-9pm. The pub was warm & buzzy, with nearly all tables occupied so I'd recommend booking. We were served by Lauren who did well running the unexpectedly busy restaurant and bar on her own, always smiley & helpful. The menu is one page of pure class. Carefully considered combinations, plenty of local produce meats, seafood, cheese etc. We had starters top pick: mussels! best mussels in Norwich! and mains both the burger & seabass were flawless. All the desserts looked tasty so next time we must leave space for pud. Can't wait to return to try the other dishes. Congratulations to the new manager, the chef and all the team, and thank you for transforming this local pub. Brace yourselves, looks like you're going to have a very busy Christmas...!
Really nice Sunday roast with gorgeous roast potatoes. Not too bad on price. No car park but parking in the street close by for up to 2hrs. Friendly staff.
The York used to be my local so always has a soft spot in my heart. It went through a few troubles but, if this bank holiday weekend is anything to go by, it's again in rude health. The garden was always a big draw but with the addition of an outside bar and lots of seating it's been noticeably improved. The beer selection is large, although wasn't that inspiring but they take a G+T seriously which is a bonus. As they were very busy they ran out of our preffered food options but what we had did the job to stem the effects of the booze. Although I do worry about burgers being described as lean, burgers should be seriously fatty! There are a few rough edges that could do with small improvements but overall the York has retained its charm and offers a reason to head back to the triangle.
Very nice local pub, recently refurbished so it is actually clean! Fantastic garden. Food is good… Portion size too big for me. Very friendly staff - chat with them!
