Award winning Harry’s Cafe Nice place to eat and relax. Friendly welcoming staff. We ate outside on the antique tables and nice to see it’s dog friendly outside Excellent food menu offering lots of local produce. The breakfast buns we ordered were very nice with generous portions, well presented and proper tasty. Good value when you don’t want a big breakfast Delicious fresh ground coffee too. The only sting in the the tail… was by a wasp outside! Which the attentive staff quickly got me some cream for it We will definitely return to sample the interesting no fuss menu asap.
What a fabulous place! A wonderful shop downstairs with different and interesting gifts and a walk down memory lane when you go upstairs and outside to the antiques and reclamation yard. Warm and friendly staff welcome you and are happy to help if you are looking for something in particular. We had lunch in the cafe which was fabulous - again a little different from the norm. Eclectic furniture and we sat by a wonderful log burner for our lunch. There is plenty of choice for vegetarians - I had Welsh Rarebit which was both filling and very tasty. The young lady that served us was very pleasant and helpful and service was quick. We will certainly be going back again!
A good pit stop driving south from the lake district. Harry's Cafe was amazing . We ordered the roast ribs and french onion soup. They come with sourdough bread. The french onion was tasty but a little on the salty side. The roast ribs was very tasty and beefy. It was so welcoming on that cold rainy day 2 days ago There is other section of the yew tree barn which sells food stuff, household stuff and cards. Lovely warm atmosphere there. Highly recommended Parking: Limited free parking outside property along the road but it's not a busy road Wheelchair accessibility: Gotta be careful as the aisle is narrow. Clean toilets but too narrow for wheel chair so I would say not so accessible
Fantastic lunch today, fresh, seasonal fayre cooked with love and passion what's not to like about that plus it represented excellent value for money. Thankyou we'll be back soon.
Lovely wander around the reclamation yard and antiques shop inside. Watched the Smith making horseshoe hearts which he showed and explained really well to our boys. The cafe was busy, but we found the perfect table for the 4 of us and were not disappointed by the food. I had wild mushroom risotto which was absolutely delicious. Not a scrap of food left from any of us. Will 100% return.
Interesting objects for sale, nothing for us this time but worth a look. Fantastic cafe, great staff and fabulous food, not your average cafe, almost fine dining quality. Will return if back in the area.
Fantastic place with some amazing and quirky items. Well worth a visit. One of my favourite places. Cafe serves wonderful homemade food and cakes.
Wonderful breakfast and lovely staff. We intend to return shortly to have a full vegetarian breakfast and my husband lives in hope of a delicious Manchester Tart!
We first came across Yew Tree Barn for breakfast on our way home after we’d been recommended by the owners of Peony cottage in Newby Bridge where we’d been staying back in May. The breakfast was so good we said we would definitely be calling again in September when we were coming back to Peony Cottage. And so as soon as we arrived back we went straight there for lunch homemade Chowder with homemade cheese scone , £9 and the most fantastic sweet potato chips £3.50. Brilliant value and excellent quality. It was so good my wife and I went back and had the same thing again. The staff are also 5* I run a Motorcycle Training Scheme in Sheffield, and have 333 5* out of 333 and so I recognise how important it is to give a good all round service. The shop is absolutely brilliant as regards the architectural stuff and all the mixture of different things they sell. This business is 5* all round. We’ll see you again tomorrow. Thank again. Keep up the great work. Mike/Kathryn Barlow. Mike Barlow, Motorcycle Training, Sheffield.
Had a very lovely time at the Christmas market here, as well as looking around the antiques and restoration area. The blacksmith was so very interesting to chat to and had wonderful itemsAtmosphere: 5/5
