Ye Olde Cherry Tree in Southgate is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character.

Story

Dating back as far as the 1700's, the first landlord of the inn was a Mr Edward Lomas. Regarded by many locals as the centre of the community, Ye Olde Cherry Tree has been used for a number of different purposes over its lifetime including the headquarters for the Loyal Britain Society, a coaching inn and a posting house.
A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

I have been waiting for a deposit refund for a month now, was called to say it would be refunded over two weeks ago now and no way of contacting anybody. I love this pub and the food is amazing but am not overly impressed with the current customer service.
A lovely old pub with lots of space and a great fireplace. I came across it by accident as I was driving through the area and vowed to return. Very glad I did - swift service and quality food in decent portions! Proper dose of country pub!
Beautiful cozy pub. Loved the lights and the atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff who followed the COVID guidelines in place. Fabulous garden and the food was amazing. Very tasty, very fresh and delicious. I would recommend this pub to anyone looking for a wonderful pub experience and meal. Thank you to the team.

Beautiful place! Service was exceptional, really lovely staff. Food was ok, not sure I'd pay full price but we all enjoyed our meal with a voucher.
The place was absolutely amazing. Great food and drinks. We were served by Lisa, who was so friendly and professional at the same time, not at one point did we feel like we were missing anything. Will definitely visit again. 10 out of 10
