Great restaurant worth visiting. Situated on a fairly busy road in Totteridge, the turn off can be easy to miss in the dark. Be careful of cars exiting whilst you turn in as the entrance is a little on the narrow side. The staff are polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt welcomed and cared for. The decor was very good and the place is well maintained. The place packed the usual loud crowd which suited me down to the ground. Having to spot to people across from you to be heard whilst eating is not my cup of tea. The menu was varied enough to cater for all tastes. We had the roast chicken and fish and chips. Both were very well portioned and the food was of excellent quality. I would give this meal a ££ out of £££££ which makes this a very good value for money meal out. Will definitely go back and may even become a regular place to visit. Thank you to the staff for looking after us.
We made the reservation online pretty easily for an early dinner. The service was very good and the staff were friendly; the restaurant side was away from the bar which was appreciated. Our order arrived in good time and was very pleased with every dish. Will happily return and try other items on their menu.
Lovely pub to dine and enjoy the scenery. I have come here regularly since I was a little girl and they never fail to deliver. If you go to eat, make sure you eat on a Sunny day outside. They make a delicious roast for dinner also. We are always greeted and served by Marsel and he always goes above and beyond to provide the best customer service. It is dog friendly and they also provide water and treats for your furry little friends. Highly recommended.
What a beautiful experience for valentines day, the menu had options for everyone including vegetarians/vegans; & the atmosphere was full of love for the occasion The food was exquisite down to the very last bite: we had the Baked Camermbert Sharer, Maple-Glazed Rotisserie Pork Belly Our Dirty Burger & for dessert the Chocolate Orange Melting Bomb & Warm Home-Baked Chocolate Brownie.. this truly was a 3 course meal that was enjoyed very much and left me very much stuffed. The customer service was wonderful, especially from Sophie thank you! The only issue I would say is when the bill arrived, not only was I charged the full price for cocktails which were meant to be on happy hour prices; the deposit wasn't taken off the final bill. This was all retified however if I didn't bring it to the attention of the staff I would've been over charged by £24.50.. 5* I would recommend on overall experience
We have been here on several occasions now. The food is excellent. The atmosphere and setting are great. But, a slight gripe is that the last few times we have come there has been some confusion about us bringing our small dog. It seems that you cannot reserve dog friendly tables and you cannot bring dogs into the restaurant. It’s entirely reasonable to have a specific area for dogs, but what is the harm in reserving one of these tables? When I’ve tried to phone to they don’t answer they phone… On similarly picky point, I ordered a fish course which was described as accompanied by grains and lentils, but half way through it was apparent it was peas and no lentils. Wouldn’t have been an issue if it was flagged in advance. Despite this, the food has always tasted great and is very high quality.
Fantastic customer service, good food and wide selection of alcohol drinks. White wine oyster Sauvignon blanc was fabulous. We enjoyed pork belly and duck parfait.although the rump lamb that I ordered medium was well done ,tough and chewy :
Wonderful location, lots of greenery and a large pond nearby. Large drinks selection, with cocktails and lots of beers. Food was excellent, and there are good vegetarian and vegan options. Staff are nice, however service can be a bit slow when busy. However will definitely visit again as overall experience was great.
Lovely Sunday roast and fish and chips. Great portions and reasonable prices. Nice location. Interior very nice. This place is decided into restaurant area where dogs are not allowed and you can make a booking of the tabke and pub area where you can dine or have a drink with your dogs and these tables are on first come first serve basis.
A night out with my daughter perfect cocktails started with a French martini and a espresso martini with desert. Main we shared the rack of lambs and crème desert all delicious. Really lovely evening time out great atmosphere great service and perfect hospitality thank you .we visited again on Valentine’s Day a really lovely set menu added some more photos
Friends invited me for my birthday. It was my first time there. Loved the ambience and service. We ordered fish and chips and it was very good! Not greasy at all. Desserts also tasted great. Thank you so much!
