Yama Yama Sushi & Japanese Grill Restaurant

The best Sushi restaurant in Finchley by far! Got introduced by a family member and me and my girlfriend can't stop going back! The people who work there are awesome and very friendly and welcoming. They also have a grill menu - The onions and garlic are AMAZING! The fish is so fresh and lovely. I would recommend this restaurant to all Sushi lovers who enjoy quality over quantity! 🍣 🍣 🍣

Reasonably quality in this part of town. The dishes are not posh like typically Japanese restaurants, nothing fancy but they have a very strong homely feel. The best part is that they have a real charcoal grill, so make sure you order any grilled dishes and you won't be disappointed. It is not particularly cheap but it has good lunch deal that any main dish will come with rice, salad and miso soup, without paying extra. Hence, my 4 stars rating.

We have just moved to the area and we found Yama Yama following Google reviews. We were not disappointed! Food was really good, wine was a great surprise ( delicious Primitivo as a house red! ), we had a really friendly chat with chefs and we are totally into this place now!!! Highly recommended if you are looking for really good simple, fresh Japanese food and casual atmosphere.

My first visit to Yama Yama following a friend's recommendation - I was not disappointed. The food was of very high quality, good value for money and the choice of dishes was extensive. The service was also excellent and I sensed a genuine passion for what the waitress was offering with an ability to advise and recommend on appropriate dishes, and the suitability of certain combinations. A thoroughly enjoyable Sunday evening in a very relaxed atmosphere. Would not hesitate to recommend to others

A very warm environment with a huge variety of authentic Japanese dishes. I must recommend the yakitori and salmon teriyaki from the robata grill as well as the sushi. Though everything I have tried is absolutely delicious. The black cod costs a mere £16.00. Insane. The menu is huge and does not disappoint. Please do take a visit if you appreciate good food at a very modest price. There is a lack of authenticity nowadays, and this humble restaurant encapsulates the originality of the Japanese cuisine.
