AVOID. Con of a company. Do not explain t&cs at the time of signing up, and you'll be lucky if you ever receive the email they promise with it. The free personal training sessions I was offered to join were revoked because the member of staff spilled his protein shake on my forms and I never received them at a later date, again as promised. This has happened to at least four other people I've spoken to, coincidence? Cancelled at the front desk in January 2017 as I was moving 30 miles away and had found a more professional gym, which I was told was processed and settled, only to continue paying my monthly (which was already £5 more than promised on the initial sign up) I spoke to an apparent manager and he cancelled it for me on two separate occasions, one using the W number allegedly needed to cancel (so why not do that the first time?) In January 2018 I had paid £180 in membership to a gym I lived 30 miles from and never used, despite having cancelled on four separate occasions. Citizens advice instructed I cancel the direct debit, at which point I received a call to say I owed them four times the monthly! Absolute con of a company, gym is poorly maintained and staff apparently lie at the front desk, since I've now been told by Haywood Health its impossible to cancel in branch. No explanation as to why I was told four times my membership had been cancelled IN BRANCH, costing me a not insignificant figure to fix THEIR mistake. The incident has been reported, but considering I'm one of hundreds of ex users of their gyms in the same predicament, I'm starting to think it's something they're taught to do in their training.

A good gym, with great members and a great price. Just needs little bit of love to bring it up to scratch with other X4L in the UK. Fixing some of the wear and tear and adding a track and sled to the gym would be a great start. Still for £14.99 it is still a bargain.

Receptionist very unprofessional and arrogant should not be dealing with the public. Called asking for the repeated sales texts to stop a simple request you would think but when I refused to give my surname she told me not to be cheeky and hung up on me. Never have I used excercise for less before and maybe this is one of the reasons the memberships are cheap as they spend less money employing a poor pedigree of staff with the customer service skills of a brick.

Steer well clear of this con company. I started a membership in January 2017. I asked to cancel early due to a family member taking ill health and I was part carer, and also moved to 10+ miles away from the gym. The sales adviser at the time told me anything I wanted to hear in order for me to sign up and didn't present me with the relevant T&C's at the time, but instead gave me bullet points. I let the membership run for a year (although never using it again after January 2017) and cancelled down the direct debit on Feb 2018 to be told I owe them £68. How? Everything is apparently done on-line for cancelling, so good luck if you live in a nothing area with no Internet connection and having just moved in, no broadband yet either, at the time. I've tried so many times to resolve this, even contacted Citizens Advice and when I called up to ask for the T&C's again, the sales adviser said and I quote, "it's not rocket science, I'll just read them to you on the phone". Errr, no, I requested it by email so I could have it in writing and apparently the manager is ALWAYS off, can NEVER get through to them. Not happy and not paying this fee either!! Do 1.

Was handy for work at the time but it was just too basic. Showers were such that every 20 seconds you had to turn back on. Equipment was hard to find like pulleys as there weren't enough between machines.
