No parking enforcement in Wycombe area at all. Vehicles blocking traffic, parked in double yellow lines during the day and the council does nothing. Absolutely useless fixmystreet service for reporting illegal parking as no one from the council follows up, ever. This has been going on for more than a year. Appalling and disgusting service from the council.
No surprises to see the lowest ratings for an institution that is supposedly there to care & to provide services to us as the local population of tax payers who are paying the salaries. Buckinghamshire is one of the most affluent counties of the UK yet we are expected to deal with a third world service, nothing short of embarrassing & shameful. In addition, the pandemic is over, they have no excuse, this is years of poor management, misuse of funds & recruitment of poor staff. A shockingly toxic culture prevails & as other reviewers have said, top to bottom, from senior management to section supervisors & call takers, the organisation appears to be full to the brim with incompetent, lazy dishonest & often abusive & patronising staff. After many attempts of needing to resolve my query/complaint, I was subjected to the misfortune of dealing with a ‘team leader’ by the name of Shamim Akhtar; unsure as to why this person is even employed there let alone being apparently long standing & given a TL position when there are thousands out there with whom she could be replaced by & who could do a far better job. Senior management are clearly too weak to deal with the likes of her who have their feet under the table & feel secure & invincible in their employment. Despite my being polite pleasant & professional, this employee behaved in the most rude, uncaring, dismissive arrogant, bitter & unstable manner. Perhaps training, counselling & strong medication might assist her as well as a disciplinary? Utterly shameful at a time when so many vulnerable & distressed people are needing council services more than ever. These people are purposely unhelpful & uncaring & there is absolutely no sense of safety or security in dealing with them. I sincerely hope that this unfit-for-purpose institution of sorts is placed into some kind of special measures category & subjected to a thorough investigation.
let us see When I called earlier on various issues it took over 20 mins to get through About the same on the disable number. Neither seemed to have a dedicated complaints number to call, and both lines dumped the call without a thanthyou when the questions got into speaking to a manager. I never had a problem in the past passing a complaint over to a manager, maybe I just bid my job correctly in the first place that I never got a complaint. Let it be stated now that I have repeatedly asked to speak to a manager on many issues in the past both as able-bodied and disabled and they seem to have certain issues. I could run the colour issue maybe by getting someone to log the same complaint, but I think they are just too plain stupid to deal with anything other than hitting a rock on a twig
This company owes me alot of money that hey have been dodging for years, other way round it would be hareasment and bailiffs as it was for years. In the day I called 5/10/22 I was told there systems will be down till the 27th of that month so for 3 weeks they have no system & obviously cant help ..Buckinghamshire council!. Ps..your doing this to someone on the highest form of disability, & 1/2 star is left by people that want to review but have to leave a star to do so, which is far from deserved .
This county council is an absolute disgrace and abomination. It's ridiculous obsession with roadworks and continuous congestion as a result of this is why it fails, and Wycombe District is suffering as a result of this pathetic incompetence. Time for a change of government.
Refuge department is totally incompetent and unable to fix basic issues of refuse non- collection. The complaints system is nonsensical and does not achieve anything.
I was told that my council tax rebate will be in my account within days. After 12 days not there. I called today and there systems are down and so there is nothing they can do. Terrible organisation!!!
So I received 4 emails from 4 different people and each email they requested something else . The funniest thing ,the last email an officer requested letter from school where clearly schools are closed for the public until Sept. I contacted school and they refused to help untill sept . So I stuck till Sept because the lady from our local council has no enough training to know that it's a summer and school are closed, or mayne a bit common sense would help
I paid council tax on an empty property for 10 months by DD. When property was finally rented, the DD continued to be collected. I asked for the overpayment to be repaid and expected it back on the same account. Later I was told they don't have my bank details, so I gave them to them, followed up and was told they don't repay until the next date when they pay this type of overpayment like a monthly run. I rang today, 09:22 17th Jan 2022 and was 13th in the queue but could leave a name number and first line of address to be called back, it is now 15:30 and still no call back. The payment is a few hundred pounds and has been owing for over three months. I'll have to call back again. Poor service provided by staff, no accountability whatsoever. As the previous post suggested; if I owed them this money for over three months I would have multiple bailiff letters sent to the address. I know as I have had this happen as I don't live in Wycombe and letters were sent to the property address.
Absolutely useless buch of people. Couldn't tell me which name to use to set up my standing order for my council tax payments I had the sort code and account number but there are 23 different names under Bucks with the same account number and sort code, called Wycombe council tax office and the lady on the phone kept saying there's nothing she could do to help and I need to speak to my bank and hung up on me if it was up to me she would be out of a job, her job being helpful to people and not rude and hanging up when she doesn't know what to do or say. Shame I can't give 0 stars.
