I have just returned from the post office after dropping off my click and drop items. I use click and drop as it is a quicker way to drop off parcels and you do save a few pennies here and there. The gent behind the counter explained to me he doesn't get paid for checking the addresses, stamping the proof of postage and packaging the bags when using this service. I did not know this and was disappointed to hear he was effectively doing a job for no financial gain. Unfortunately, he then suggested that 'People like you' i.e me are contributing towards the decline of the post office, taking away his livelihood etc even though I had just explained I did not know this was the case. He carried on saying you save your 20, 30p and then will complain there's no post office in the future blah blah. He walked off into the back without saying goodbye. I'm sad to say your business will now close even sooner as I will no longer be using this post office. Your customers are not to blame for your grievances with Royal Mail/ The post office as a business.
