A lovely little park, we've only lived in Horley for 30 years and didn't even know of this place. Well maintained and easy access to walk around the lake, a heavenly place to live however the housing estates surrounding the gardens which were once part of a private estate spoils the beauty. Car park spaces are limited.
The gardens are fantastic and well looked after. The estate must have looked wonderful when the big house was there. We did the tree trail recently, which was enjoyably challenging. There's a great range of trees as you would expect for this setting. However, the trail map is indicative.
A quaint little park situated in Milton Mount, close to the community centre. The park is unique, with a nearby lake and lots of green spaces. A small coffee shop is also located near the house, where you can find a selection of hot drinks, cold drinks and light bites. If you want to visit a park in Crawley, this is recommended. Restrooms: Located near the parking area
Very open lovely garden's, place was built during victorian times. Great place to come and walk the dog or simply time to ones self. Free plus parking limited and toilet facilities including disabled. Tea/coffee wagon out the front with some seating, there are plenty of places in the gardens too. Well kept and no littering anywhere. Busy times are between 11am and 1pm check on Google before going because parking could become difficult, but people leave all the time so shouldn't have to wait long if you do. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly. With plenty of poo bins dotted about. During spring time best to keep dogs on the lead as geese are very protective of their young and wouldn't want to stress the birds. Picnic area: Plenty of space around the lake of in the gardens to pic nic but please take your rubbish home or use the bins. It's lovely and clean here, let's keep that way.
Such a beautiful beauty spot! Clean and well looked after, never see any litter! There's ample dog waste bins too. Flower seeds have been scattered to encourage wildlife which is lovely! Baby Goslings down by the lake are growing up well! Always enjoy walking round these grounds with the dog!
Really nice peaceful area. Well maintained and clean. Good walking ares and water features are beautiful
Well worth a vist .Beautiful scenery and trees . The Volunteers are Friendly Hardworking and the Head Gardener is a mine of information. The Lakes with all its birds and wildlife are beautiful and stunning.
A really lovely area for a walk around the gardens and down to the lake. The whole area is very well maintained and we love spending time here but you can't help wondering who is responsible for demolishing the original mansion house and building the concrete eyesore large block of ugly flats in it's place! Dog-friendliness: Lots of dog walkers enjoy the area too.
The gardens are beautifully well kept, I'm always so impressed by the work that the landscape gardeners do. I walk regularly around the area and also recommend stopping off for coffee or a drink and food at the pop up Kelly's Coffee van, it's really nice.
First trip here and I thought it was great! Nice lake to walk round and fab clean toilets. Great coffee van too.
