You can easily spend a whole day here, either exploring the grounds, walking around the lake and seeing the large variety of animals in the zoo. You can take a picnic or enjoy food at the cafe or restaurant. Really good family friendly prices. So many animal encounters at the zoo too.
I had a lovely experience visiting Tilgate Park. It is a beautiful place with peaceful surroundings, open green spaces, and lovely walking paths. The park is perfect for relaxing, enjoying nature, and spending quality time with family and friends.nnThe lake area was especially beautiful, with calm views and a refreshing atmosphere. It was a great place to walk, take photos, and enjoy the outdoors. The gardens and woodland areas were also well maintained and made the visit even more enjoyable.nnThere was plenty to see and do, making it suitable for all ages. The park felt clean, spacious, and well organised, with a welcoming environment throughout.nnOverall, Tilgate Park is a wonderful destination for a peaceful day out. It offers natural beauty, fresh air, and a relaxing escape from busy everyday life. I would highly recommend visiting.
Best park/lake you’ll ever visit. So incredibly beautiful, big enough for a days hike, with plenty of parking, cafes, restaurants, go ape, kids play parks, top quality icecream, water sports on lake. Love this place. Definitely worth a visit for any length of stay.
Amazing park, amazing view of this huge big lake. Great indications at the entry. You can have a drink, eat something, walk, hold, run, workout… really great green space.
Had a lovely time walking through the park,the zoo was bigger than I expected with very friendly keepers. The cafe was lovely with really good food. My niece enjoyed doing the GoApe climbing in the trees experience. Overall a great day out, didn't have a chance to go on the boats on the lake but others were obviously enjoying it.
