This is the worst gym I have ever used. Having been a gym-goer for over 10 years across the UK, I highly recommend avoiding this place. There is no cleanliness regime; staff stand around for hours doing nothing in particular. When I pointed out that young children were lifting heavy weights, which is a hazard, they looked at me as if I had offended them. Sometimes, I’ve been in one week and found rubbish and dirt still in the same position the following week. The toilets are not kept clean, and the air conditioning is rarely on, if it isn’t broken. This is a poor excuse for a gym.
I went over on a Saturday afternoon to take part in the Naturists Swimming Session and to also use the Sauna and Steam Room. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and very polite as well. It was something totally new and different experience for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it so much that I will be attending it as much as possible. I would also like to say thank you for allowing this to take place each month, and thank you to all the staff as well. Everyone has been wonderful and very polite and friendly towards me. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
One of the cables were broken for 3 months, lat pulldown's lap bar been broken for more than that, need people to push down on it to actually feel something. Little equipment, small, Just pay more for a better gym
Lady on the desk absolutely rude, loads of other staff just standing around. Either they are all useless or she doesn't let anybody do anything. Changing rooms smell of pee. Hairballs and plasters. Signed my son up for 10 lessons, that I HAD to pay for immediately to secure the place. Not fit for purpose. I did not attend 10 lessons, just glad I didn't give them any more money. Half an hour with a proper instructor and he could swim. All the kids I saw in lessons could already swim. Stop wasting your money. Get rid of swimming lessons and open the pool for all.
The buidling looks fairly new, parking is free but there is not enough spaces for the amount of cars so trying to get parked is a struggle. The changing rooms are small with only 1 male toilet for the whole building. The gym is OK, but seems like a bit of an after-thought, too small for the amount of users, mostly full of children using free weights, cables and machines often with terrible form that looks like it will lead to them being injured, and didn't see a single staff memeber on the gym floor to supervise/prevent this. When compared with Irlam or Eccles, I wouldn't recommend using Worsely unless there was no other choice.
